Had a few issues:
1.A 2-3 week job took almost two months. Signed contract and gave him first check 5/10/14. Was told it would take 2-3 weeks from when check cleared. Majority of the job was completed on 7/1/14. (Still need to finish and put in hot tub - that was a week later. In fairness, there was a lot of rain that prevented him from being able to pour on certain days.
However, there were many days with no sign of rain when no one (or just a single young adult with minimal equipment) showed up at all.
2. On the day he poured most of the patio, storm came in, ruining that days work. They tore up the worst section and re-poured it, but the rest was pock-marked from the rain. He told me it would blend in, but it looks drastically different. He ended up sanding down one small section and applied what looks like a layer of Quickcrete to it. This looks even worse than the dimpled concrete, because there are now at least three different looks to the patio! He said it would fade and blend in, but after over several weeks, it is no where close to blending in.
3. When I called him to ask him to address the second issue, he because very rude/insulting and yelled at us.
4.Additionally, after a few weeks, the stoop is already pulling away from the house - there is a large crack almost the size of a width of coax cable. There wis also a crack where the patio meets the house - he does not warrant cracks.
I understand the weather was beyond his control, but I feel that he should still do what it takes to give a decent final product for an almost $5000 job.
