AFFILIATED ELECTRICAL

I hired Affiliated Electric to perform the electrical work on the new home I was building, and it was a nightmare. While some contractors performed poor work, and others attempted to cheat me on the work they performed, Affiliated Electric was the only contractor who both performed poor work and cheated me. When I added work to the contract, such as a can light in the kitchen, I was charged a very high add-on price. When I removed work from the contract, such as a can light in the study, they refused to credit anything off the contract. They were very slow in performing the work. Toward the end of the construction they attempted to swindle me, refusing to perform any more work unless I agreed to add another $2,500 to the contract price, and when I refused they delayed the job even more. After that they refused to complete the work for the agreed contract price, and left me completely on my own. In the end I had to contract another electrician to complete the work so that I could pass inspection and move into my home. I sued Affiliated Electric and won a judgment against them in court. After that they refused to refund the deposit money I had paid them, and I had to file affidavits to discover assets to recover my money. All-in-all, Affiliated Electric proved to be a totally dishonorable company.
