We contacted Mike during the winter months and agreed to wait until the spring to do the work since it was all exterior painting. When Mike started, he arrived at a reasonable time in the morning, worked out with us beforehand so as not to be too early, and proceeded to put in several long days, probably 2 - 3 more than he initially expected. As I mentioned, even though the work required was significantly greater in scope than anticipated, Mike held to the initial cost, and I don't really need to stress how important that was for us given how tight everyone's budget is these days. In short, it's common that after working with a contractor, if I have another job I'll shop around some more if I need something else done, to make sure there's not someone better out there. But with Mike, I don't feel there's a need. It's rare to find someone who you trust completely to take care of a job like it's supposed to be, but that's exactly the experience I had with Mike. Definitely an A++!
Description of Work: We live in a circa 1960 house that I don't believe has seen much maintenance since built. The soffitts, while sound, were in terrible condition with respect to the paint, as was the garage and little railing outside our front door. All three were peeling badly and clearly hadn't been painted in many, many years. I contacted Mike and he scraped everything, then painted. Pretty simply sounding, but in reality the job turned out to be a lot more work than expected given the extremely poor condition that neither of us could discern from just glancing at it. However, Mike held to the initial cost he quoted and did a fabulous job. As you might expect, the scraping generated an enormous amount of paint peelings. Mike did a great job not only painting but also cleaning up - something I was very much worried about given how easy it is to miss the likely thousands of paint chips on the ground. In short, he exceeded our expectations.
