On retrospect I realize that I didn't clear out of the rooms as much as I could have but CBG didn't complain and took care of everything. When the kitchen was finished and the Family Room started (same finish) I was worried that the kitchen was too dark; it was such a change from the previous color. Steve offered to "lighten it up" and applied a lighter finish for the Family Room. After sitting with the kitchen finish for a day (while he was still here working on the Family Room) I decided that the kitchen was just perfect. Although switch plates were not painted he had no problem with painting the four that I really wanted to disappear. That was great! There was a lot of heavy furniture that needed to be moved and that was achieved without harm to our bamboo floors. Another space successfully transformed by CBG!

We called Chicago Brush again because we were so pleased with the work they did on our bedroom last spring. This time it was just to repaint the hallway and around the stairwell and to patch cracks in the ceiling. This was not a difficult job as the paint was the same color as before and trim was not included (as per my request) but it was done quickly, efficiently and with no mess. It looks so beautiful! We are already planning another room with Chicago Brushgroup that will tap into their true artistic talents! Do yourself a favor and give this company a shot at any of your painting desires, you really won't be disappointed.

I hired Steve to simultaneously teach me how to do a faux wood finish and work side by side with me. Over two days, we completed all trim work and the door in my bathroom plus a long stair surround ledge. It looks great! I'm very happy with it. It looks virtually identical to the sample. He left me with the remaining paints and glazes, paint numbers and formulas so I can do the rest of the trim in my home. I have an art background and have taken a previous faux finishing class, so he thought it would be a successful project. It was a simple process and he explained it well; what consistency to look for when mixing, how to apply, how to do a paneled door, etc. This fit my budget and he was very flexible. The original estimate, which also included faux wood finishing trim around four windows, was more than I could afford. After a few conversations, he suggested an hourly rate until we reached my budget. He estimated we could finish the bathroom and ledge in 12 hours. It took 11. I'm happy.

He does very detailed work so I took a little bit of time. He is very good, great attention to detail, and a pleasure to have around the home!!!
