Two times, approximately 1.5 years later each of my last 2 Garmins broke down for differring problems that could not be resolved with consultation from GARMIN, uploading software and ... The thing is that in both cases REI returned the watches for a full refund!! I am so appreciative of REI and their stellar customer service and willingness to stand behind each product they sell - even if the manufacturer will not. I highly recommend REI and will buy my next watch and other related needs from them as time moves on....not sure about being a GARMIN and so appreciative of a company that is so well run!
