It didn't. I was told the dishwasher needed replacing and was charged $85.00 for five minutes of looking at the inside of the dishwasher door. This is a 2 perhaps 3 year old dishwasher that works fine - except the seal keeps falling out. I wasn't told of the $85 service call charge when I called. Technician was very polite is all I can say.

We were charged a $60.00 for a service charge and was told that the service charge would be applied towards the bill. After the technician fixed the fridge we were charged for both service charge and the repair. When asked about this the company told me that the service charge would only be applied if parts were ordered. I was never told this in the beginning of the service.

Very quick response, next day service, called when on the way, replaced the icemaker in a few minutes, very professional.

Horrible customer service. I will most likely contact my credit card company to have the May 2012 charge disputed.

Our oven stopped working, we had North Shore come to fix it. The first time was OK, they sent a guy who seemed to know about the range (Amana gas slide-in range). He diagnosed it as a bad relay board. We paid $159 for the service call and for the install of the part ($79 each), he would call us with the cost of the part. He never called, we called the office twice to get another service call scheduled. New tech, Chris, came to install the $185 part. He had NO IDEA where the part was in the stove, tried to take apart the entire oven. He got the side panels off, took apart the front control panel. The actual board he was replacing (4inch by 5 inch) was under the oven, accessible by taking out the storage drawer- I found this by looking at parts diagrams later on the Internet. He NEVER found that part; he was not able to replace it, he just put the stove parts back on- denting one end panel in the process. After 2 hours, when he was done, he showed us how it worked- which was exactly the same as before he "fixed" it. Meaning that it still did NOT work. We told him it was not fixed. He proceeded to get on the phone with his office- no further on-site diagnosis at all- and 10 minutes later decided it was the main control panel (the most expensive part) of the stove. He left saying he would call with the price of the part. At that point, we did not want them to come back-- ever. The next day, I called the office to complain, we did not want to pay for the part or any more labor charges. I spoke with someone who seemed to be in charge, Daniel Michalak. I explained to him that we did NOT want the parts to be installed and asked how much we owed for the previous board. After some back and forth, he said he would not charge us for the relay board and no further labor charges. I'm giving them a D instead of F because he agreed to no more charges. However- this was the least professional repair company I've ever dealt with.
