Dave's Painting & Remodeling

We have had several painters over the years come to our home and we think Dave is tops!

We had the misfortune of hiring Dave to wash and oil (stain) our Ipe deck. There aren't too many people in the Midwest that are familiar with this hardwood from Brazil. If maintained properly, it can last 75 years and longer. Dave wasn't familiar with Ipe and unfortunately didn't follow our instructions - wash with mild detergent then apply timber oil sparingly. Instead, he stripped, power washed (leaving gouges) and over-applied the oil - this turns the wood black. He left the deck in unacceptable condition, yet we paid him the entire agreed upon amount. We offered him a chance to rectify (at least partially) the situation by reimbursing us for materials to redo the job - he refused. We had to strip, sand, and re-apply timber oil ourselves (since we couldnâ t afford to hire someone else). Rework was much more difficult than doing it correctly the first time-usually a very straightforward. We do not recommend Dave's Painting and Remodeling.

Dave did an incredible job as well completed the job quickly. Our entire first floor was painted in a day. No only did he do great work - he was able to walk through tips to maintain some of the work that was done. Would recommend for all work

Dave came by the house several times because we kept adding small projects as we went. Between doing water leak repair work, door jam extensions and fixing cracks in paneling, the results of his meticulous work are outstanding. Dave is very detail-oriented, taking a tour of the areas of repair at the end of the day and adding on when the initial results didnâ t meet his expectations of perfection. I will reach out to him again for future projects and an only highly recommend him to anyone is needs any home repair work done.

He provides excellent customer service and is extremely professional. As drywalled and painted my bedrooms and also stained my railing. All was done in a timely manner.

I have had Dave paint and do some patching for me in my kitchen and by the time he was done, you could not tell where he patched as he made it look that good. He was even able to match the paint to the walls without fail. As well, he finished my kitchen project in a very timely fashion.

Repaired drywall in the kitchen ceiling that was damaged by a plumbing leak. High quality work. Very close attention to detail.

We had Dave repair our basement drywall which had wood paneling construction glued and nailed to it. He removed all the glue skim coated and primed the drywall to a smooth finish. The quality of work for the price was unbeatable. And while it took slightly longer than anticipated and was little messier then I hoped for, the price/quality were above and beyond expectations.

Little late twice but hey, things happen and I'm nothing if not understanding. Good man! Solid job staining new pine windows. Will hire again.

I have worked with them for several years. They are affordable, trustworthy and stand behind their work.

Very good service they accommodating on time scheduling and good quality work and very considerate to recommend options to fix issues.

Dave and his group of painters are all personable and professional and very meticulous to the job. Very happy with his work and very happy with his price.
