About us
Platinum Poolcare, founded in 2007 by industry veterans James Atlas and Terry Smith, specializes in all aspects of pool design, construction and renovation, maintenance and repairs with added focus on specialty aquatic features such as waterfalls, lazy rivers, rock water applications, statuary and other luxury waterscape amenities. Platinum Poolcare has serviced and constructed pools at hundreds of high-end residential properties throughout the greater Chicagoland area as well as in Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana. The company also services some commercial facilities, including the hydrotherapy and resistance-training pools at the Bulls, Bears, Blackhawks and White Sox stadiums and arenas. Based in Wheeling, Ill., the company’s headquarters spans 10,000 square-feet of warehouse and office space with 58 trucks, 90 employees during peak season, and one of the industry’s largest onsite replacement parts inventory for quick fixes.

"We apologize that you felt the price given was worthy of giving us an “F” mark, as well as an overall grade of “F”. We did provide a clear, written proposal in advance of performing any work; which was signed and acknowledged, by the way; stating our scope of work and pricing, with no surprises. We do call to collect money on accounts that do not pay in a timely manner. We apologize if that seems unprofessional, but as with any business, timely payment of invoices due help us maintain the highest quality service that we can provide. If you feel that you didn’t get a good value for the service provided, then we clearly failed in our endeavor to give you the highest quality product and service at a fair price. We see that we received a “B” for Quality, Responsiveness, and Punctuality, yet an “F” overall. If you could give us specific reasons why you didn’t feel that we earned a higher grade, we would be happy to address those with you in this open forum."
