"Hello Mr. [Member Name Removed] - We are sorry to hear that you are not completely satisfied with our 2017 "Basic Care" seasonal lawn maintenance service currently being performed at your Prospect Heights property. Even though we have only serviced your property for a few short months to date, we would like to know exactly which service was lacking so we can adjust/improve accordingly. We would greatly appreciate any input you can provide. Please let us know if you would like to continue service for the rest of this season (until November 30, 2017) or if you would prefer to cancel our current seasonal agreement instantly. No problem, either way. Generally, a 60-day written cancellation notice is preferred, but in this case, I will make an exception and cancel our seasonal agreement as soon as your formal written cancellation request is received. After a brief review of our past communications (via Angie's List, email, etc.), it seems that you have contacted our office no less than five separate times over the last three years to request seasonal lawn maintenance and/or seasonal snow removal pricing for your Prospect Heights property. As you could imagine, it would have been great (for both of us) if you had the chance to review our previously offered pricing and detailed service offering before deciding to hire our company. #1) - 10/29/2014 2014-15 Snow Removal Service quote. #2) - 3/22/2015 - 2015 Lawn Maintenance Service quote. #3) - 4/10/2016 - 2016 Lawn Maintenance Service quote. #4) - 10/17/2016 - 2016-17 Snow Removal Service quote. #5) - 3/9/2017 - 2017 Lawn Maintenance Service quote. #6) - 6/14/2017 - Underground PVC Pipe Installation, Lawn Repair Services and Underground Down Spout Extension Installation Services. Once again, thank you for the past opportunity to provide written service quotes for your property and we wish you nothing but the best! - Joe Pacocha - Pacocha Landscaping Services, Inc."
"Hello [Member Name Removed], Hope everything is going well! Thank you for writing about your experiences with our company. We greatly appreciate your feedback! Of course, as you can imagine, I am wondering why you chose to not contact us directly to express your dissatisfaction with our service scheduling and pricing arrangement. Make no mistake, I greatly prefer Angie’s List too, but sometimes the simple forms of communication are the best ones. Anyway, when you first contacted our company back in early 2013 to discuss the possibility of servicing your lawn and landscape we made you fully aware at the time that we never provide a firm/definite day of the week for routine lawn mowing services. As a matter of fact, it has been over twenty years since we last attempted to guarantee a day of the week for lawn mowing. We explained that our lawn maintenance clients are serviced weekly from mid-April thru September. Entirely based on area routing, you will either be serviced the first half of the week (Monday thru Wednesday) or the last half of the week (Thursday thru Sunday). Since you were located in Mount Prospect we made arrangements to service your property toward the end of the week. We also explained that as weather related challenges arise in a given week our weekly lawn mowing schedules will move forward accordingly. Often times when weather slows or stops our operations, end of week clients are serviced on Saturday’s or even Sunday’s (as was the case this past spring in particular). If you wouldn’t mind, please help me understand why you would hire our company for spring clean up, weekly lawn mowing, occasional plant bed maintenance, occasional bush trimming, lawn fertilization/weed control services and weekly fall clean up services back in 2013 knowing how we operate? Beyond servicing your property for the full 2013 growing season, you then decided to hire us again for 2014, 2015 and even this 2016 growing season to complete the very same services and at the exact same prices. Again, we really do appreciate the past opportunity, but if you were really so unhappy with our scheduling, pricing, workmanship, etc. why continue for all these years? You also commented about our bush trimming and bed detail services (weed removal, spade shovel edging of beds, cultivation, etc.). Again, our minimum labor rate for these services is $38.00 per man – per hour plus disposal fees (as stated on our initial 2013 Landscape Management Agreement – you formally authorized on 4/9/13). We have held this minimum labor rate in place and unchanged since early 2005. We make no apologies for our minimum labor rate and for invoicing our clients for any/all work we complete in a satisfactory manner. Please accept this Angie’s List reply as formal notification that our company will be resigning from servicing your lawn and landscape effective November 30, 2016. Once again thank you for the past opportunity and we wish you nothing but the best! Joe Pacocha Pacocha Landscaping Services, Inc."
I feel and made a great choice!
"Hello [member name remove], Thank you for contacting our company! Yes, as of today (7/11/14), our contracted routine lawn maintenance service availability for the Village of Palatine (in particular) is currently full for the remainder of this 2014 growing season. We apologize for any inconvenience this information may have caused. We greatly appreciate the opportunity and look forward to possibly earning your business in the future. Thank you for your time and have a great summer!"
"To whom it may concern, I believe you have made an error and posted a review for my company (Pacocha Landscaping Services, Inc.) by mistake. You may have certainly tried to contact a tree company over two days and left three messages (as you state in the review) but we were not fortunate enough to be one of them. We have received absolutely NO MESSAGE of any kind (phone, email, text or Angie's List direct message) from a person requesting any type of tree related service (not a service we offer) and by your name, address, etc.. We would greatly appreciate it if you would please contact Angie's List directly to remove this mis-directed review."
However, we did not end up contracting with them for only one reason. A couple of our tress and several shrubs are in deep trouble. So we need a strong horticultural presence for our care. Pacocha has a relationship with another vendor who does their horticulture work for them. The owner explained that Pacocha really focuses on lawn work only. Well, the other two lawn companies we spoke with had their own horticulture people. Considering the condition of our trees and shrubs, we decided for this year to use someone who has horticulture specialists on staff instead of as a separate company. But, if our foliage bounces back next year, we'll call Pococha again.
