The repair went smoothly. No issues.

Tech was excellent - professional and courteous.

This guy is a total hack job! DO NOT HIRE! His "fix" broke again in 6 months. He would not guarantee the work. The new repairman said the work was done wrong and that the original guy broke a bunch of parts in the refrigerator! Hire a real company.

Vlad was very professional. He quickly diagnosed we have a freon leak, the coils weren't working, and it may cost upwards of $1,000 to repair. This is our 2nd refrigerator in 2 years so we're pretty upset about the problem, However, Vlad's honesty about our issue will help us-hopefully-resolve quickly with ABT.

Technician, Vlad, arrived on time (good response time overall) and diagnosed the problems quickly (leaking freezer bin gasket and a corroded control board connection). Repaired quickly and made sure of successful operation. Very professional and amiable tech.

Gene quickly diagnosed that the control board needed replacement.  He further advised that the part is discontinued and/or largely out of stock, and might be hard to find.  But it just so happened that of the three boards Gene had on his truck, one of them was the one we needed!  Magic!  ;)    And he was dead-on in terms of estimating the price as compared to the Guide on Repairs he had with him.   Gene was skilled and professional and I would call again.

• The touch pad on the dishwasher did not work and I was unable to run the dishwasher.  Gene came out and took apart my dishwasher and determined that the touch pad was the issue. He was able to get it working again.  He did tell me that his service fee was good for 3 months.  He said that if the touch pad goes out again, I will need to replace it.  If it happens within 3 months, he will apply his service fee when replacing he touch pad.

He also looked at the light under my microwave - it has not worked in about about a year because of a broken light in the socket. He removed it so that I could replace the light bulbs.
I was very pleased with his service.

We smelled gas off and on in the kitchen so I had the gas co. check it out.  They said the regulator was faulty.  Gene came to look at it and didn't find anything wrong with it.  He thought it could be the pipe coming up from the basement  but didn't think it was emergency.  He offered to replace if we felt better about doing so, but didn't want to push into doing anything if we wanted to wait. We decided to go ahead and he was professional, prompt, and we haven't smelled gas since.

Yes, this is very late. I forgot to review him. I called him today for another problem and he is coming out tomorrow afternoon. The guy is very good at appliance repair. Knows his stuff and is very capable of fixing the problem WITHOUT having to make a run to home depot/ Lowe's Etc...at least that's how it went for me. As I stated, I've just called him to come out and work on my Mom's washer/dryer.

Mike responded within 24 hours of us placing a service call, identified issue right away and had parts on his truck. He was in and out with our washing machine operational within about a 1/2. Mike made a point of showing us what the problem was, how he fixed it and the part replaced.

Instead of waiting over a week for the privilege of ABT coming to fix the washer (I purchased from them) I called Magic. I never heard of them before but I took a chance. Vlad came out, diagnosed, picked up the needed part and had it running the same day. And he gave me tips to not only prolong the life of the washer, but other appliances too. I haven't seen this kind of service, friendliness and professionalism is a long, long time. This is the kind of service we all expect but rarely get. Keep up the great work! You have a new loyal customer. It's easy to write a bad review when you get poor service. But it's necessary to write a positive review when things go well. Thank you!

I gave their number to my tenant on a recommendation from a friend.  They changed the ignitor and got the stove working on the first trip. A few weeks later my tenant calls me that they tried calling several times to get them to come back b/c it stopped lighting,  and not to pay Magic b/c its a warranty claim b/c when they did answer they charged them.  I do not know if that was the truth or not but eventually they did come out and clean the ignitors and charged me.  Magic stated that something spilled and the part was not defective thus incurring charges.  Magic is probably correct and my tenant did spill something.  Magic went to note my account that I will authorize any dispatch before they are sent.  That second trip was $145 - $20 coupon that magic offered.  At this point what could I do since the work was complete so I paid them.  There is probably truth to both sides and I'm stuck in the middle with the bill. In the end the stove works for probably the price of a new one. Would I use again? I'm not sure my friend has had good experiences with them and I attribute this one to bad communication including me.

Because the dryer vent had gone too long between cleanings, there was a lint backup. The accumulated lint inside the dryer around the motor caught fire. Luckily there was no spreading of the fire and no other damage. The vent cleaner recommended Magic Appliance Repair, and after checking on Angie's List I called them. They were able to come out later that afternoon. They disassembled the dryer and inspected it to ensure that there was no damage from the lint fire. They asked for my vacuum cleaner and proceeded to completely clean the dryer. They (and I say they since it was a two-man team, apparently an expert and an apprentice) then reassembled the dryer and tested it to make sure it was working. They noticed that the vent needed further cleaning, which I then acted on.

Overall they arrived promptly and worked efficiently. I would definitely use them again. I give them an "A" in all categories other than price - although I don't know what the market pricing is for this job it seemed on the high side. On the other hand, with their professionalism I was content to pay that price, and I will be calling them again if I should need another large appliance repair.

When he hooked up the hose he climbed on top of the machine. When I went to turn it on it would not work. He came back out and said something heavy was placed on the machine. That's why it wouldn't' work. I did not place anything on the machine,

He showed up on time, told me the problem (needed a new belt), gave me a price for repair, installed a new one. Looked at my dishwasher door, which would fall/slam open. Told me I needed a new hinge, how much it would cost. I told him to go ahead and he fixed that as well. He was very professional, straight to the point, and did the work for a fair price. Not only did the repair get made fast and efficiently, I asked if he could help level my refrigerator. He gladly took care of that, adjusted my doors and lubricated the hinges. He noticed that the grid over the fridge was dusty and asked for my vacuum. He took offthe cover, vacuumed the compressor and lines, just because it needed to be done, I have used Magic Repair several times in the past, even before Angie's List existed. He's fixed the actual ice maker a couple times over the years and a washing machine, etc.). It's always the same guy, Gene, who is prompt, polite and down to business. You can telll that he takes his work seriously and does excellent, quality repairs. I only wish he installed new appliances -- he'd be they guy putting in my new oven and cooktop for sure!

They are very professional, punctual and prompt. If I call them in the morning, they try to make it the same day. They clean up after finishing the work and the price is reasonable.

Great! The repairman arrived at exactly 10am (service call was between 10-12N on a Saturday. He quickly repaired the clogged self-defrost tube in the refrigerator. He was clean, polite and courteous. They were referred from our Warranty Company, hence the low price.

Great. I love this company. They get there quickly and have a good history of only fixing what needs to be fixed. They can keep an old washer and dryer going.
