Jay's Hardwood Floors

Jay was recommended to me via word of mouth and I couldn't be more pleased. He was VERY punctual each and every day, explained the process thoroughly and worked within my timeline.

This is the second time I used Jay's flooring. He knows his business, and does a professional and excellant job. On a recommend from neighbors three years before, we had him reweave (replace/create) a floor where we had removed a partial wall between the family rooom and the dining area, and you couldn't even tell where the new "patched" part was. He then refinished and poly coated that area, the kitchen and the hall and that project was about $1,575.00. It's nice to have a reliable local craftsman available at a reasonable price.

We solicited quotes from 3 different contractors and Jay's was 25% less than all the rest. I appreciated the time he took to answer my questions and the answers he gave. He was able to start within 2 weeks of our acceptance of the quote. He brought the new wood a week ahead of time, to get acclimated to our house and was able to start on schedule. The work was finished in 3 days and we were able to move in shortly thereafter. He was always on-time, we paid the full amount of the quote after the work was complete and we had a chance to look at it. I'm completely satisfied with the work performed and would hire him again.

The installers were excellent. They kept the mess to a minimum. They showed up on time and got done in a timely manner. They were very pleasant to be around, and the floor is beautiful!

Jay's was referred by a friend. They were very easy to get a hold of and schedule a time for an estimate. Jay came out, measured the bedroom, and gave us pricing. Once we accepted their pricing, the floor was installed within a couple weeks. After they left, but before we moved the furniture back in, a door stop fell off and marred the floor. They came out, fixed the area without any questions.

They did a nice job on the floors but did not re-paint some areas that were part of our entry way stairs. We didn't push the issue.
