Green Gecko Pools & Spas has been serving both residential and commercial customers in the suburbs of Chicago since 2003. The company owner, Matt, has over 20 years experience within the pool industry and is out on every job! We specialize in servicing in-ground swimming pools and spas/hot tubs. Some of the services that we offer: openings/ closings, weekly maintenance, gas heater repair/ replacement, equipment repair/ replacement/ upgrades, troubleshooting, renovations including: sandblasting/ painting/ tiling/ coping, custom winter safety cover measurement and installation, in-ground liner replacement. I have just had the BEST pool service in the entire 20 years I've had a pool ! Matt was just a pleasant person...was considerate and patient as I'm hearing impaired...did a GREAT job repairing my pool heater....and the price...including parts and labor was VERY reasonable. I would recommend him to ANYONE who has a pool !

Swimming Pool Heaters Repair or Service
Matt was prompt and helpful diagnosing in his first visit June 1st. However, he was supposed to come back to repair the skimmer. It is now 6 weeks later and I have still not heard or seen him. I have called, text, and emailed multiple times and gotten no response. The pool cannot be used until the skimmer is replaced so this is incredibly frustrating. I'm disappointed in the lack of response and still trying to get this repaired.

I hired Matt to come out 2 times a month to clean pool. Very knowledgeable, very helpful. I don't know what happened. I hope he is ok. I left numerous messages and VM - unreturned. Hoping that he is just very busy. Please call anytime to sort this problem out.

Matt's service was the very definition of customer service. He was very responsive, knowledgeable, trustworthy, easy to talk to, and sympathetic to your needs. My pool heater stopped working just before the weekend of my party and it wouldn't be a success without his prompt and excellent service.

Nearly $2,000 for new pool pump installation. It does not work- probably due to simple programming which could be solved with a phone call. However, I can not reach anyone this company.

"There was a miscommunication between the homeowner and myself. I had emailed some tips/instructions on programming the pump which was not received. Once I found out that he was having issues, I called immediately and was there the same day to take care of the programming issue. When I left, everything was running smoothly and his wife and son were comfortable with the pump's operation. I apologize for the mix up. I would not knowingly leave a customer with an inoperable system that I had installed!"

Matt replaced a pool heater part, only to have it fail a few weeks later. He returned to replace the part (under warranty) and then encountered another problem that required another trip. All issues were resolved at no additional cost to me.

Took Matt over 3 weeks to complete the small project. Never showed up, lots of excuses. He was cheap - guess we got what we paid for.

"This is not a small project! There is approximately 50,000 gallons to drain from a gazing pond/pool. There is no true low spot in the pool making it very difficult to remove all of the water as desired. I apologize for the time that it took to complete the project. We were swamped trying to get pools ready for Memorial Day and make sure that people having pool parties could swim. This is not typical of our work! Again, I apologize that I let you down. Sincerely, Matt"
