Trustworthy and competent. One of the best service calls I've experienced from any trade in years. Frank is personable and a good communicator. He quickly identified our garage door problems and efficiently remedied them. He took the time to explain what had happened, how it happened, and how to prevent it. His service fee was very reasonable. I highly recommend and will be calling him for any future garage door repair or new install needs.

Frank was prompt, professional, and very nice. Very pleasant experience. Frank explained in detail what was done and how to maintain the garage door and opener system. Also lubricated entire system, tightened chain, and replaced broken brackets I had not even noticed. I am very glad I did not attempt to repair the spring myself like I did with the garage door motor system. It appears you can get seriously hurt attempting this yourself. I am glad I had this done by someone who knows how to do this properly. Would recommend Frank for your garage door needs.

He returned my call promptly and said he was on another big commercial job but would come that day if it was an emergency. I told him it wasn't and he came the next morning. The last serviceman that looked at it said he couldn't get parts for a door 56 years old and it was best to replace the whole door. Frank said that was true but he could repair it. Frank is the second generation owner of this business and is very knowledgeable.

Frank set up the appointment quickly and arrived just before 9:00 to do the work. I was working so I didn't get a chance to fully go over all the details, but he let me know what I needed to do to maintain the garage spring and fixed a hinge that I didn't notice had broken.
He also helped my wife set up the keypad with an entry code, so I don't need to go through the front door every day anymore!
Everything worked and the area was left clean. The new opener is quieter than before; all it needs are a couple of LED lightbulbs that I'll run out and purchase.
I'd be happy to contact Frank in the future for when the spring needs replacing.

Found Frank's on Angies List.  Made contact w/Frank via the 'contact the provider' link in his AL page.  I described the problem (garage door sitting unevenly) via email, and sent a photograph of the door.  Frank was available to fix when I was available, and arrived right on time.  He fixed the leaning problem by replacing one of the cables (I thought it was a spring problem, but thankfully wasn't).  He also took time to tighten up the chain, which was hanging down a bit (which he saw when I sent the photo).  He gave me some good tips on maintenance, but admitting that oiling the cables would have little impact when the weather was so bone-chllingly cold.  (I need to oil them in warmer weather).
I presented the Angie's List discount certificate when paying (something like 5% off), and Frank gave me the discount.  But he also said he wasn't aware of when those discounts appear on his Angie's List page, and Angie's List should do a better job of communicating these things to the contractors.

Was able to come out first thing the next day to work on our garage door.  I was interested in replacing the door and Frank's opinion was that the door was in good shape and didn't need to be replaced.  I appreciated his honesty. He gave me options to replace the top panel with something more decorative rather than replacing the entire door and let me know that we would have to re-paint. He also spent time on some smaller issues -a missing lens cover, and oiling parts of the door to make it much quieter (without charge).

He replaced the door on a two-car detached garage. He added a garage door opener and controls. For picking the new door, he had me look through the manufacturer's web site while he advised me about what some of the options meant. Very thorough and very friendly, made sure I understood everything during the process and before he  left.

Our garage door open quit on us and we used Angie's list to find a highly-rated garage door repair service. We didn't know whether or not the door or the door opener needed repair or replacement, but it had stopped functioning. Frank asked some questions over the phone when we called him, gave us some information regarding our problem based on what we were able to tell him and depending on the kind of door opener we had gave us some likely options. He came out punctually the next day, diagnosed the problem and let us know he could repair the particular door opener we had rather than replace it. He also explained what the repair involved and presented the option of replacing the door opener and explained how the repair would compare to replacing the opener, saying he could do either. Based on the extensive knowledge Frank shared with us, we decided to have the door opener repaired, which saved us money and was accomplished in a very reasonable lenght of time. Once the door was functioning, Frank made some observations regarding the operation of the garage door itself, performed some maintenance, and gave us a few tips on how to keep the door operating smoothly. The door is as good as new, operates as quietly and smoothly as we have ever experienced. Working with Frank was a very good experience, would call him again in a minute if we ever needed any garage door repair or replacement done.
