This was a long process 6+ months because the retention wall was at the back of our property near a creek and required the approval of regulatory bodies and local governments. Tillie Bruss was persistant and professional through the whole process and the construction team did a great job!

Bruss Landscaping Inc. was very good with their expenses. The work turned out to be great. It was inexpensive by comparison and they did good work. They were attentive to details. We have had them come out before. We are very happy with them. My experience with the workers that came out for the job was very good. They were straight forward. They were quick and they worked hard. I will most definitely continue to use them in the future.

The patio and front walk look ok when it is not raining. Otherwise, the puddles are quite deep in spots. The fountain is extremely disappointing and depressing. They charged me over $2,000 for it and it is very tiny. I picked it from the catalog they showed me and they were quick to point that out when I told them that it was not what I expected, especially for the money. In addition, it is leaky and I replaced the pump six times in two years, even though they replaced a pump and the bowl of the fountain once. Such a sad little $2,000 birdbath. The plants are mature and very nice though. One maple tree died and they replaced it according to their guarantee. Any landscaper does that. They seem to be afraid that the customer is ripping them off. Recently they announced that they "went green" which means that they email their invoices and save themselves a stamp, a sheet of paper and an envelope. The customer still has to write a paper check, address an envelope and affix a stamp. I suggested that the real green alternative is to provide a paperless way for the customer to pay, also. They told me that they used to take credit cards but stopped because there were "problems." As a business owner who takes credit cards, I know those problems. They are called "fees." Sometimes, though, you have to take a little less to keep your customers happy.

After receiving the quotation, I called to verify that number of flagstones they quoted to be used was accurate for the tight and level walkway I wanted. The representative, Tillie Bruss, assured me that they would make a very tight and level walkway, "for the little feet" of my twin toddlers." Unfortunately, the walkway was installed with no attempt made at grading the area; just placed flagstones on top of the dirt. They used far fewer flagstones than was quoted in the price, and the result is an awful, uneven "hop-scotch" like pathway, with very small flagstones. I called to let Tille know this was not at all what we had hoped for. She said they would fix it. A few days later, someone came and replace two of the flagstones with slightly larger ones; still unacceptable. Tille never called back to see how we liked the change, and we even filled out a detailed survey, and mailed it to them with our concerns. We would be willing to pay more if they would fix it, but we never heard from them again.

Bruss did a great job on our landscaping. We continue to get compliments on the design. We have color in our yard year round. It is just great. Bruss offers a two year warranty on all plants too. Great people to work with.
