In all good conscience, we could never recommend Aslan Design and Renovation to anyone. We had several issues with Aslan; two issues in particular demonstrate their indifference towards us and the quality of their workmanship. Part of the project was the installation of hardware on new kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors. When the cabinet hardware was initially installed, the handles were misaligned and the cabinet doors were splintered. We brought this unsatisfactory workmanship to their attention and demanded that the damaged cabinet doors be replaced. The owner of Aslan concurred with our assessment that the work was indeed unacceptable and assured us that they would “make it right”. Though we repeatedly brought up this issue with the project manager, our concerns were ignored. Finally, in the last week of the project, the project manager unilaterally announced that he would “make it right” by plugging holes created when hardware had been misaligned and by patching up splinters created when holes were drilled. We disagreed and had to fervently remind the project manager that we were paying for new cabinets with properly installed hardware, not doors with patched splinters and plugged holes. Under duress, they were held accountable for the substandard work and replaced all cabinet doors that had been marred. Aslan’s indifference was once again displayed when it came time to finish the punch list items. There were several issues on our punch list which we brought to Aslan’s attention. We gave them at least 3 opportunities to complete the list. When they failed to do so, we had to hire a different contactor to complete the contract. The new contractor did things right the first time.

The two bathrooms were dull, dingy, and dated (harvest gold and avocado green!).  They are both small so not much could be done with the layout, but Andrej's design makes them appear brighter and airier.  We are very happy with the result.
Design: Andrej listened to what we wanted, and came up with draft designs that matched amazingly well.  But of course there were things we wanted to add or change, and Andrej diligently walked us through options sharing his expertise, but never trying yo up-sell us.
Demolition:  Done with remarkably little dust.  Floors and front doors were well protected. After each days work all the trash was bagged and removed from the work area, and the floors were vacuumed and "Swiffer-ed".  The trash was moved into a van so we did not have to live with a dumpster in the driveway.
Reconstruction:  The "Swiffer" again helped to keep dust down.  All work was done by professions in the field, rather than by jacks-of-all-trades.  They were particularly good at checking with us when the inevitable surprises showed up, giving us background information and options  so that we could make rational decisions quickly.
Overall:   Our production manager kept things on track, kept us informed, and responded quickly when contacted.  The work  was done well.  The people were friendly and professional.  I say this as a compliment to them: the worst part of the project was sharing a single bathroom for several weeks!

We purchased a marble countertop and sink as part of our bathroom renovation. Aslan had a nice selection of remnants to look through as we only needed a small amount of material. The service was very friendly, price was good, and the countertop looks great! Our contractor recommended Aslan and we would as well.

Everything went very well. Aslan was very flexible in relation to our schedule, and never gave us a hassle when we had to reschedule due to some related kitchen remodeling delays. Once the work actually began, they were prompt, efficient, courteous and excellent. Very highly recommended.

Overall I think they did ok. We would consider using them again but they're service wasn't so outstanding that they would be the only one we would consider either. Positives about them is when they came here to take measurements they took time to explain the process, our options etc. They also seemed very concerned about their quality. On the down side, they were a bit slow to get us pricing and had to come out a 2nd time for the install because one of the counters wasn't fitting properly. But at least they cared enough to do that and they actually brought the counter back to their facility to make the adjustment because they could do it more accurately their.

The fixtures in the master bath were original, 30 years old and badly corroded. We decided to tear out the old bathtub and replace with a shower stall the size of the tub. Andre, the owner, came to the house, we talked about the project and he gave me a ball park estimate on the spot, followed up with a detailed written estimate about two weeks later. It was a fairly simple job and he easily understood what I wanted. Circumstances forced us to delay the project 5 months, but the prices held! I'm very, very happy with my new bathroom. They did a great job. There were no little details left undone.
