Terrible. First off, they tried to charge me $307 to CHANGE THE T-STAT!!! Hahaha. Then the tech reported bad capacitors ok, it's 26 yrs old so...ok. But then of course, all of sudden, I need a new blower motor BUT they charged me OVER $700 for it!! So... for giggles, I had them come back next day to quote me a new furn and AC, all-in. They quoted almost DOUBLE to what 3 other local contractors quoted me! I am shocked and stupid stupid stupid for being a steady Stadtler customer for over 40 years (this includes having my parents business since '73). Do not hire them, they severely over charge. ALL other hvac contractors local to the area know this. If you're smart, you will find another hvac vendor.

My usual HVAC servicers had no experience with the dehumidifier I wanted, and were not prepared to offer their usual (excellent) guarantee on the installation. I consequently needed to find a company who were prepared to do this. This was more difficult than I expected - apparently the device I favored is not widely known - but the manufacturer pointed me to Stadtlers, who agreed to source and install the dehumidifier for me. After that, everything became much easier! I initially corresponded with their representative, Chad Ewing, who gave me the estimated cost by email and then came out on a 'site visit' to ensure that there would be no unexpected problems. The dehumidifier was obtained promptly and installed as scheduled, It was necessary for the team to change some details of the planned layout, but they explained the (good and understandable) reasons for this, and the changes which were made did not result in any problems or increased costs. The only aspect of the job that did not achieve near-perfection was a detail of the interlinking of the dehumidifier with my (unusually complicated) WiFi thermostat, but Chad came out a few days later to sort that out. I was very happy with the installation (and with the effectiveness and fairly low running costs of my chosen device) and would strongly recommend Stadtlers for this sort of work.

They were very responsive and punctual. However, it seemed the work was efficient and that they knew what they were doing but things would brake right after service.

The tech was friendly but complained a lot about the work the person who installed my system did.

Paul was nice, professional and was able to do the furnace checkup even though I had not asked for that when I had called.  They came quickly and on time.  He also asked if I wanted the humidifier serviced, which past HVAC companies had not mentioned needing service.  And it was good he did because it was disintegrating.  That was about $40, and the furnace checkup was $95, and the A/c repair w/hard to start kit was about $270.  3 maintenance things completed very quickly!

I had called this company because of how they handled our previous issue in June when we called them for Tankless water heater repair, and when they realized it was beyond their expertise they referred us to someone w/that expertise and refunded our money.  I liked their customer service, very good.

I had this company come out after another company that I didn't trust did the right job. Stadtler was great. They were thorough and honest and I would definitely use them again. Another company quoted me a price of $1200-$1600 for which Stadtler was able to do for $358. I will be using them for all my heating and cooling maintenance and future needs.

Chad and Gabriel from Stadtler were efficient and professional from first contact to last. They responded quickly to come for the estimate, and explained everything that they would do in detail. They talked about what we needed based on the size and configuration of the house. When we decided to use Stadtler, they were able to start the job in a reasonable amount of time. They removed all the old equipment and did an excellent job installing the new.
They always came when they said they would and were reliable and punctual. The furnace and hot water heater have been working great. Will see about the AC when it gets hot. They will come out at that time to make sure the AC is running the way it is supposed to work. We were very impressed with the work they did replacing the old ductwork in the basement and to the 4 hot air vents that lead to rooms on the main floor of the house.
We will be using them for yearly check-up and maintenance of the units. We have nothing but good things to say about this outfit.

They are very good people.I have been using their services for three or four years. I have not had any issues with scheduling. They call us when it's time for the maintenance check up as long as we belong to their annual program. They provide a two hour window for appointment and they also call before their arrive.  Their technicians are friendly and knowledgeable.

We had them come out twice a year for 11 years and have had no problems at all. They are neat, friendly, and on time. They send you appointment cards every summer and spring. They also never complain that our basement is a pig pen. They are fine. We did have a little trouble with our auxiliary power that went out. However, it was replaced by them for free. Their price is high but you get what you pay for.

It was very good. They were very timely and they followed up very well. They were clean, which with a furnace that could be hard sometimes. I've called them for several reasons. I decided to use them, because they are a local company. I try to use local companies that I know other people had good experiences with.

I had past service from Stadtler. Put in new water heater and replaced valves to washing machine with much higher quality than ones i bought at Home Depot.

When new toilet was giving me trouble I call Stadtler because I was happy with previous service, and when I need replacement parts I go there and they are eager to help.
They did a good job, were prompt and friendly.
Will use them again in the future.

Stadtler Heating & Cooling's price was medium, they cleaned up after themselves, and have good problem solving. They took on a difficult job because it's an older house.

They have gone out of their way to find parts that fit our furnace. They have given us some reasonable deals on converting our old AC to modern standards with a reasonable price. They did a new sump pump which we had a lot of problems with. It actually fell apart a week after the warranty. They got the manufacturer to give us a big break on a new one. I call that very good service.
They are expensive. What you pay, you get.

We only had to pay the cost of the service call. It was fine. My husband had already located the problem so all they had to do was follow through with fixing the problem.

The serviceman came out on time.  It didn't take long for him to assess that the run capacitor was blown (which probably did happen during the brown out).  He replaced the part and the unit worked fine.  I asked him to check the R22 (freon) and he said it was low and put in 2 pounds. The actual work took about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. (He would have left without checking the levels if I didn't ask him to!)
They told me it would be $90 to come out and assess the problem, which they charged.  I was charged $177 for time and labor on the capacitor (I saw the capacitor he put in and found it online for $6.46 to under $10.$97 for the R22 (freon)Total charge: $364
I thought the charge was high!  But after speaking with my father (who has a lot of experience with a/c contractors),I felt better because he thought this was very fair.  He said most contractors after seeing how old my system was, would probably push me to get a new system.I am very satisfied and happy to have my a/c back!

When called upon to install a brand new HVAC Unit in our home, Stadtler was terrific.  They were punctual and professional but when that very unit stopped working 3 years later and needed to be serviced and actually have a major component replaced, Stadtler was HORRIBLE!  They did not stand behind the very product that they recommended and installed.  Stadtler was extremely unprofessional.  They would not return phone calls and then when we finally got ahold of someone they were demeaning, condescending and simply rude.  As a result, we used a different company to repair the unit and will never use Stadtler again!

I followed up and contacted the owner of Stadtler to express my disappointment.  He too was unprofessional and rude.  I told him I would never recommend his company to anyone and he responded by informing me that he didn't respond to such meanial idle threats.

It's a shame because we originally contacted Stadtler based on a family recommendation but when we shared our experience with the family they stated that they too had a similar experience with Stadtler and are no longer using them either!

Do use Stadtler if you want your HVAC contractor to leave you in a lurch and not stand behind their products and services.

Do NOT use Stadtler if you want your HVAC contractor to provide you with professional service and follow up.

The technician did tune ups and changed the furnace filter. He was on time and answered all my questions.
My family has been using Stadtler for over 40 years, they are a great company to do business with.
