We communicated for a year and Cut Above was never available. I even offered to have them come and see what could be done in my yard. I have a very large yard, I was told that the company was "booked up and very busy". I asked for my money back. I should have checked the reviews for Cut Above, they were not good. I'm not the only client who had trouble nailing them down for an appointment.

Work was well done and came when they said they would. Great communications (which I like) on what is going on and when along with other suggestions.

They're expensive. When it comes to softscaping I think they're overpriced but when it comes to hardscaping like doing patios and that kind of stuff they are very competitively priced and they do outstanding work. They show up at your house and they do not leave until they're done. They stick to their schedule. They do super high quality work. They're terrific. I would definitely highly recommend them.

Cut Above tore down our rear wooden deck and replaced it with patio hardscape. All work performed was of high quality. Additionally, we replaced a considerable amount of landscaping as a result, and all new plantings thrived well after the interim winter and summer season. Nothing needed to be replaced. All work finalized within budget. There was no supervision needed on part.  Planning, scheduling and installation were all first rate.

Their weekly maintenance is done perfectly!  They do an outstanding job cutting and cleaning up all the clippings.  Their fertilization program is worth every penny as we have very few weeds and our lawn looks outstanding, even after a very dry summer.  Their trimming crew doesn't miss a beat either by getting all the trimming done quickly and cleaning up everything after.  Two years ago, we worked with Darren in the re-design of our patio and creation of a fire pit using Unilock Pavers.  Darren was so creative in his design and worked wonderfully with my us to create this larger project!  This was their best work yet as they didn't miss any details.  From the design to the addition of creative planters and granite countertops on our BBQ island, everything was done perfectly!  Work timeline was less than 2 weeks and as promised.  Our backyard is now a relaxing retreat thanks to Cut Above!  In the future, we will continue to use no one else but Cut Above as they are much better than other landscaping services in the area!

Be careful with this provider, they do not follow through or complete work. He kept promising to finish the work and he never did, so we had to pay someone else to do it.

I have used Cut Above for the last 10 years. They used to be exceptional. In the last couple of years, the consistency and quality of their work has become appalling. Have mowed yards, failure to complete tasks unless pestered, non-existent follow-up. I am finally fed up and will be replacing them as my yard service.

The president of this company, Jim Finley, finally came through in the end and made sure his company handled their responsibility in repairing damages caused to our property by their snow plow hitting our retaining wall on two separate occasions. We are pleased that Jim took over from his VP-Darren Moreford, to fix Darren's managerial mistakes and resolve the problem. Unfortunately, until he got involved, his partner, Darren Moreford, handled the situation very badly. Darren is a nice guy and we think his intentions were initially in the right place when he first attempted to repair the damaged retaining walls, but once the failed attempt at repairing the walls ended up causing even more damage to the initial problem he lost his ability to handle things responsibly. After months of dealing with their insurance company and failed attempts at trying to get Darren to meet with us to discuss a settlement, we called Jim; once he stepped in we were able to resolve the problem. Jim is a responsible person and prides himself on owning a hardworking and responsible company. He is a conscientious person who will learn from past mistakes, provide good service to his customers and work swiftly to rectify problems or damages if they happen to occur.

Darren (owner) brought sample bricks for walkway. We chose from the samples and a different brick was delivered for installation. Wrong bricks were "close" in color and Darren assured us that with "sealing" we would be satisfied with the substitution. We went ahead with the installation (only good part of his work) but can't say as to the color because we are still waiting for him to come back and seal. His crew tried several times to clean the bluestone with a power washer, failed each time and today I have an etch-a-sketch front porch. Grout they installed has fallen out in spots and is separating from the stone in others. Caulking between the stone stoop and house is pealing away in spots. On top of all this, he came to us twice for early payment on his contract (which we gave to him) to "meet his payroll". We parted in November 09 with his assurances (and his "word") that he would be back first thing in Spring to correct the failed work and seal the walk. We are still waiting! We began contacting Darren in March to schedule the completion. He didn't return calls and when finally his secretary "made" him return our calls, he "promises" to be out "this week" but never does show up. We have given up on cut above. I must now hire someone to finish his work and correct his mistakes .... and because he has payment in full ... I now have to chase him for money back!!

They were great, very professional. We worked with the owner, Jim Finley, before each job. The crew that came over to complete was very clean and respectful to house. Jim came over before each job to make sure we were clear on what we wanted and also checked in afterwards.

They were very good and very prompt. It was a basic job, but they did a very good job. They worked right through, and they didn't disappear when I had to get in touch with them. I was happy with the results.

Work was performed quickly, once they started. They had some delays due to weather. Darren dropped by several times to check on the progress. It can be a little difficult to get a quote out of them. I think the front office does not give them their messages all the time. They installed a paver stone patio for us 7 years ago which still looks great.

The crews were very professional. We were impressed with how well they cleaned up daily and at the end of the job. Early on, we felt the new walkway was slightly off center. Jim came back out, looked it over and fixed the problem. Another issue arose when the landscaping crew wasn't sure about what plants they had, so they called Jim for help. He came out again and helped the crew lay out all the plants. He also provided us with instructions on watering and caring for the new plantings. We were impressed with the overall work and look forward to working with Cut Above Landscaping again next year to built a patio and landscape the rest of the yard.

THEY ARE PUNCTUAL, NEAT, AND THE YARD ALWAYS LOOKS VERY NICE. THEY SOMETIMES MULCH OVER WEEDS INSTEAD OF PULLING THEM, BUT FIXED IT ON THE NEXT GO-AROUND.

HE WAS SUPPOSED TO MOVE A BIG PAVING STONE. WHEN I CAME HOME AND SAW THAT HE DIDN'T DO IT, I CALLED HIM AND HE SAID HE COULDN'T MOVE IT. I WAS DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE THE PRICE INCLUDING HIM MOVING THE STONE. THE WORK HE DID DO WAS OKAY, BUT I WAS DISAPPOINTED.
