"A call did come in on Saturday 8/23 after the heavy flooding in our area. The call was received by our on-call tech since our store was closed. Our technician was correct in explaining that on a water heater - there is a one year labor warranty and 6 years on parts/labor. An labor fee would have been incurred if a heater was 1 year and 7 months old and the part that was needed or defective would be subject to the manufacturers limited warranty policy. However, I am researching this customers name and address and I DO NOT see any records of a heater being installed by our company. The last thing at that address on our record was from 1992 and it was a different owner name. I left a message for the customer to follow up further to inquire if there in fact was a heater installed and billed to a different address or to obtain any further information. I have not yet received a return call. We work hard to keep up a good reputation for over 60 years, and I would love the opportunity to resolve this complaint and truely determine if we were the installing contractor. I do not feel an F rating is justified at this time for any reason."
