Lake Brothers Contracting, Inc.

We hired Lake Brothers after interviewing several contractors. We chose them after getting very positive reviews not only from neighbors, but from the architect who had worked well with them in the past. The project started right on time, and they were very efficient. They got all the required permits, and began the demolition. They went immediately into construction, and they were on the job most days, and did not leave to work on other jobs, like many contractors do. Even during demolition, we felt like they were very respectful of our space, and the mess being created. Every night they cleaned up and left the house in very neat condition. All of the contractors they used were pleasant to have around, and we were pleased to see their strong work ethic as well. All the guys were very fit, and were not the kind of guys to take smoking breaks all day long! This work ethic also crossed over to the subcontractors they used for plumbing, electrical, hardwood flooring, and tiling. We felt that each and every contractor that came into the home was equally trustworthy and hard-working, and we were very comfortable with them all over the 4-5 months this project progressed. Throughout the process Chris was very responsive to our questions, and any concerns that we had were always addressed. He was patient with our continual punch-lists we were sending, which we were accustomed to doing after having worked with very forgetful/untrustworthy contractors in the past. He followed through after each area was completed, to be sure we were happy with the results. He always worked well with the architect. In several cases our architect gave him a problem to work out, and Chris always came up with a very pleasing solution. Right up until final inspections, Lake Brothers were very reliable. We would definitely use them again for any further construction/renovation work.
