My battery was acting funny and I called Mike at Benak to see how busy they were today. He said they were really busy but I was hoping to get it done asap so I could still use the car during the day. He was nice enough to fit me in right away and got me in and out quickly. Wonderful service and a great shop. This was my first experience but I will be back for any other issues that arise!

I asked Mike to check the brake light and perform a general inspection. He added brake fluid to address the check brake light issue and recommended replacing two tires, changing the oil and tightening a loose heat shield. He noted that front noise was probably due to a minor strut issue that could be safely put off, which I did.

Mike offers quality, professional service, He offers an honest assessment and doesn't push unneeded service. Benaks is well regarded in Western Springs.

Oil change and new tires.

I received an oil change coupon in the mail and decided to give these guys a try. The price was right, and the service was excellent. I will certainly consider them the next time I need service on my cars.

Everything worked great. The car was clean and ready when I came to pick it up. I was out of town during business hours so they left it where I could get access in the evening.

When I picked the truck up it was pulling to the left and needed an alignment. They said they didn't automatically do alignments with tire changes which made sense but I think they should have at least driven it around the block. I brought it back the next week for the alignment and they charged $69.95 but didn't get it completely aligned. I brought it back the next week and they aligned it perfectly for free. I should say that my 1999 Chevy S-10 has a history of being difficult to align. Still, I wish Benak's would have test driven it more and not given it back until they were really finished. I was not in a hurry.

They were very professional and they were clean. They didn't talk down to me like other car companies have done in the past. They were very responsive to my questions when I called and asked them before bringing my car over.
