These guys are VERY busy, so you might have a little wait.

We have been using them since and the owners were changed a couple of times. Three guys are running it now and they are doing an excellent job. They have always provided us with very good service. They do stuff by appointments and it is not like a quickie little place. One of the reasons that I use them is that they are in front of my house. Instead of using a dealer and having to wait there, I can just drop my car off at George's Auto and they let me know when it is done and I can walk over and pick it up. A lot of it is convenience but they also do a good job. They are very friendly and very diligent about the work that they do. I go there even if the dealer keeps up in making offers all the time because I can conserve my time.

I lent my brother an older car to use for the day and as luck would have it, it sprung a leak in the fuel system. We thought it was a rusted fuel line. The car made it to Westchester where a good friend of mine lives. He has been taking his vehicles to George's for a number of years and has frequently bragged to me about how excellent, affordable, and honest George's is. Well, this was my opportunity to put his boast to the test. George's came out shining. The fuel leak was only a rusted fuel filter, which would have been quite inexpensive. As long as it was there, I also had them look at another problem with the suspension. They found that substandard parts installed only a year ago at another garage had worn prematurely. They did the work well and for a fair price. I was very surprised at how quickly the work was done. We dropped the car off on Sunday, and by 9:30 on Monday, we had the diagnosis. By 3 pm, it was all complete.

Had van at another garage and mechanic at first told me the engine was gone and needed to be replaced and then called the next day saying maybe it was just the timing belt but was not completely sure. The mechanic was going to fix the van with a rebuilt engine for over 5,000.00 or replace the timing belt and water pump for 1,100.00. He was not sure if just replacing timing belt and water pump would fix the problem. Honestly I don't think he even really looked at the engine he just assumed it was gone.
Called George's Auto had car towed to him. Van was completely checked out before any repairs were done. The engine was not damaged at all. George's Auto was sure it was just the timing belt and the van would be up and running just fine. The van is up and running. I will never go to anyone else.

Great!! Dropped my car off and they called to tell me the problem and cost. Had them fix the problem. They called whenthe care was finished later that day.

They are really good. I think their prices are competitive.

We use them regularly and we don't have any problems with them. They call before they do any work and tell us what they have found and how much it will cost. It is always that amount. We've had a good experience with them. They may be a little bit high, but not out of the ballpark.

They are honest and don't try to sell you things you don't need. They are very skilled and helpful and extremely knowledgeable.

My car leaked out all of the antifreeze and there was steam coming from the engine. I called them and they had my car towed to their place within the hour. Luckily, it turned out to be a hole in the hose. I have a care that is high maintenance w/ difficult-to-find parts. Although the hose was nowhere to be found (including dealer), they found a way to repair the hose w/o replacing it w/ a new one. It was about four hours from the time I called until the car was ready. They were prompt, courteous, and very helpful. I have no knowledge of cars and could easily have been in huge trouble in the hands of any mechanic. I will use them from now on.

They are very honest and forthright. If you don't need a repair, they'll tell you! I've taken my car in a few times and not needed anything. I appreciate their honesty.
