Safety-Net Inspections

Chip was my inspector and he was excellent. He arrived early and got right to work. He was very thorough, checking things I would have never thought to look at. He took a ton of pictures of everything too. The inspection lasted about an hour and a half. We talked everything over as he was going along and encouraged me to ask any questions. The following day I received his report. He told me if I ever had any questions to contact him and he would be happy to answer. Chip was very personable and a pleasure to meet. I have already referred him to another person buying a house next month. Next house I buy, I will definitely use him again. He’s the best!

We were having ongoing roof leak issues in our room addition with a vaulted ceiling. After already spending hundreds of dollars on a leak repair, only to have it recurr, our realtor suggested calling a home inspector before attempting another guess type repair. We called Safety Net Inspections and spoke with the owner, Chip, and he was able to schedule an emergency inspection for the following day. With a thermal camera and some attic investigating , Chip determined that our vaulted ceiling is improperly ventilated, causing premature shingle failure and moisture retention in the roof sheeting. With Safety Net Inspections detailed report, we were able to contact 2 seperate roofing contractors, who both agreed with Chip's findings. As a result we had a new ventilation system installed instead of another questionable leak repair, and we have had a dry and more comfortable house and peace of mind ever since. Thank You Chip !
