QUALITY CUSTOM DECKS

Constant delays, many of which were because of the crew being pulled to work other jobs, while my basement sat open without walls, to the outside elements. Heavy equipment parked in my yard and left unused for months at a time.
The project was to be started in March, and didn't begin til near end of April. Promised 3-4 months. Wasn't completed til November, after contacting the owner of the company and threatening legal action.
Was given an initial quote of 70k for the project. Later shown another version of the contract with changes having been made to it and quoting 80k. Later again the price changed and was increased again. Ended up paying out over 125k for the project, not counting the fact I purchased all the fixtures for the bathroom. Also things were left off and not done at all, like the heated floors. Sump pump was added on top of the original specs at my expense, and then not graded correctly for drainage, causing all the fixtures in the basement bathroom to back fill with water, until the pump ejects.
Neighbors kept a running calendar of when this crew was actually on site, and they were present less than half the time, during this period. The contractor Matt Cosmo proudly said that many people happily took business cards from him.
The neighbors returned these business cards to me later, after stories were shared among them, about this project.
I honestly feel I'd have been better off with a pick axe and shovel and taking this project on myself. It certainly wouldn't have taken any longer than this 'professional'  had.

I had other estimates and they seemed right in the middle. They were not the most expensive or the cheapest. The owner was very easy to talk to and I could call him at any time with any questions that I had and he gave me answers that I could understand. They were here when they said they were going to be here. They left everything nice and clean when they left. They were very professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone. There is more work and remodeling that I would like to get done and I would definitely use them again.

The crew did a great job building the deck and the patio, making sure everything was done to our standards. We love the deck and patio and hope to use them to finish our basement.
