John was a true professional. He arrived at our house 15 minutes after we called. He explained everything clearly and provided pricing. He worked extremely efficiently and left everything cleaner than when he arrived. I have found our new go to plumber.

I called Priority Response, and spoke to John, the owner. Since it was already late in the day, he agreed to come first thing in the morning. He arrived exactly at the appointed time. (FIRST GOLD STAR from me!) John was professional, friendly, and put me at ease right away. (SECOND GOLD STAR!) It was a relief to have a contractor arrive neatly dressed and NOT smelling of cigarettes. (THIRD GOLD STAR!) When he saw the pipe, he immediately knew the issue. John said that horizontal cracking was common with the thinner-walled cast iron pipe used; it was up to code at the time, but he himself did not recommend using it. He explained that the pipe most likely cracked due to a clogged drainage line outside of the house. The water pressure backup cracked the cast iron, which was already weakened by years of gasses collecting along the top of the pipe. He carefully explained what he needed to do, and suggested adding a new 4" PVC clean-out to make future power rodding easier. John also suggested adding a clean-out near the old drum trap that did not have one. The work was extensive, and he answered my questions in great detail. He made sure that I completely understood and agreed with both what was needed, the materials he planned to use, and the cost of the project, from which he deducted the dispatch fee and applied the Angie's List coupon. (FOURTH GOLD STAR!) John told me I would need to have the drain line power-rodded when he was done. He told me that he was NOT the cheapest for this service, and explained what to ask/be sure of/beware of when I called for estimates, so that I wasn't taken advantage of. (FIFTH GOLD STAR!) Before signing the work order, John went over everything he had written. He waited patiently while I read all of the "fine print" - which most contractors encourage customers to gloss over because it takes time. (SIXTH GOLD STAR!) Before starting the job, he began hanging plastic sheeting. John planned to grind the pipes to remove them, rather than sawing them, to decrease the risk of damaging the "good" pipes he needed to connect to. He warned that it would generate lots of dust; the plastic "walls" would help contain it. (SEVENTH GOLD STAR!) The project took most of the day. John worked non-stop, only taking a break to grab lunch and go to pick up a connector. He was covered in black dust from head to toe, and I offered to let him clean up before going to lunch. He declined, concerned about spreading dirt upstairs. (EIGTH GOLD STAR.) When all was done, he recapped the project, pointing out each item on the list and making sure I was satisfied. He pointed out a few things (that the prior homeowner had done) that could be updated/improved in the future. John didn't try to sell me on another job or attempt to schedule a new appointment. He just wanted me to be aware of a few things he noticed while working. He also recommended a few products that I could use after the rodding was done to prevent tree roots/trapped debris in the future. John does not sell the items, and told me where to look for them. (NINETH GOLD STAR!) John cleaned the workspace prior to departing. (TENTH GOLD STAR!) Obviously, I am very satisfied with the outcome of this project. I have no hesitation about recommending John to all!

At first I had called another company (Roto-Rooter) to come over and take a look. The guy takes a 5 second look at the siding and dryly says: "it's going to be $1300". When I asked him how he came up with that number, since he had not yet identified the problem, he said "20 yrs experience"... No further comment necessary here. My next call was to John (I was randomly calling up companies from Angie's List). I described the problem to John over the phone and he took the time to talk about what it could be, though, of course, he could not be sure until he took a look at it. BUT he told me that it would cost $400 to search for and locate the leak. (If you got discouraged by the "$400" part, don't stop reading, you'll see why). At first I was disappointed that John did not have the amazing x-ray vision the first guy had, but appreciated the fact that the cost was split in two: finding the leak and fixing it. Plus, the deal wasn't binding; After he found the leak, I could figure out if I wanted to continue and with whom, depending on the cost and other factors. John comes in the next morning (Friday), we agree that he needs to cut a hole in the house exterior for him to take a look at the pipes. So I let him do his work and I did mine around the house. In 15' John finds me and informs me that the "finding the leak" fee drops to $220 (it turned out to be easier to find than estimated, after he neatly cut out a sq ft on the outside of the house). This blew my mind. Afterwards, he showed me exactly where the drip was coming from, in great detail and said that the rest of the repair would cost $600, which included changing of pvc pipes and the overflow in the bathtub (the leak was coming from the bathtub's draining pipes). I wasn't working on Sunday and he said Sunday, 9:00 am was fine with him, to complete the job (although when he was leaving on Sunday, I asked him if has other jobs and he said he didn't, which makes me think he came over on a Sunday to satisfy a customer's needs, which speaks volumes about his customer service). He came right on time, walked me through the whole process and was done in a neat, unobtrusive and orderly fashion a couple of hours later, after checking his work and making sure there was no leak. But his service didn't end there. I'm curious by nature, so I flooded him (no pun intended) with questions about other plumbing issues around the house. He took the time to analyze and explain various matters, from where our valves are and why it may not be worth it to change the toilet in our second bathroom, to the products he would recommend we use to flush pipes/sewers. Mind you, these were not sales pitches as he recommended buying them online. I never felt any pressure to buy more services. The bottom line: The fix cost me $820 vs $1300, plus I gained a ton of knowledge, which I get to keep. Last but not least: John is a helluva guy. This factor, along with his honest demeanor, are the reasons his number was saved in my cellphone.

John came out within the time he stated, he explained what he would do and quoted a price of less than another plumber that gave me a quote of almost $100 more. He was very professional and friendly.

John was great. At 11:30 this morning I had sewage backing up into my first floor tub and toilet, even through the overflow drain in the tub. A shower was running in the basement, and every time the ejector pump would run, the gunk would back up in the ground floor fixtures. I called at noon, was told they would be here by 2 and he showed up at 1:45. This is on a Saturday. John was great, explaining what he was doing. Prompt, professional and personable. The price was a little high; I got $50.00 off due to an Angie's List coupon, but considering he was here for 2 hours on a Saturday, I'm not complaining. When you have sewage in your bathtub, promptness is an asset! Would use them again. Oh - did I mention they are 24 hours? Good to know.

I called these guys at approx. 3PM on a saturday and they were out within a few hours. The quote they provided was $1,400 LESS THAN another plumber had provided (yes you read that right), for the same work. Priority began right away and did a great job, were extremely professional and worked into the evening. They replaced a kitchen drain pipe that was in a very hard-to-reach spot and made sure all was well before they left.
They laid out drop clothes in the kitchen to ensure that their mess was contained and cleaned up before they left.
I gave them a and quot;Band quot; on promptness because they did arrive a little later than expected. BUT this often happens with new service providers coming to our house because our address throws of GPS from time to time and they are directed to a different street with the same name in the area.
Priority will now be the first number I'll call when I need a plumber.

Priority Response was EXCELLENT as indicated by my above rating. Having no hot water on a Sunday morning with guests coming that evening is something you do not think about or plan. I immediately tried several 24/7 Plumbing Companies, one had an answering service that said someone from the company would contact me shortly, usually within about 10 minutes, .....that didn't happen. The second saying they wouldn't have an opening until between 2 - 4 the following day. The third company had a up front weekend premium charge of $150 that would be added to the billing, if I wanted it done that day, otherwise they would come out at 10am the next day without the Premium Charge. I finally called Priority Response, the phone was answered quickly and by John (owner). I explained to John I thought I had a bad Thermo Coupler. He asked me a few questions to make sure he understood my problem. He then said he wanted me to make sure I checked everything so he wouldn't have to come out unnecessarily and charge me for a call. He explained what I needed to do as a final check and, if the pilot still didn't light, to call him back and he would be out in less than an hour to repair. I did the final check and it didn't work so I returned a call to John. He, John, came out within the hour and quickly repaired the problem and happily we had hot water in time for the guests. Not only that, John reminded me of the discount in the phone book I used which saved me $50.
When John arrived the first thing he did was put protective covers on his shoes so he wouldn't scratch or dirty our wood floors. He was very professional, explained everything and answered all questions. I have been thinking about a soft water system and John took the time to explain his system and gave an estimated cost. He also did the same for a back up sump pump system.
I would definitely recommend Priority Response. If I have any future problems or move forward with other plumbing needs my only call will be to Priority Response.

Serviceman was professional and arrived promptly. He quickly rodded the toilet to clear the blockage. He said that this service had no guarantee and later that week, the toilet once again got blocked. The price for this was $185. To fix the other toilet he replaced the flush disk (looks like a large rubber washer) and that cost $165. This is the first time I called a plumber so maybe this is the going rate, but I thought it was quite expensive for the services received.
Response from Priority Response Plumbing & Rooter

"Dear [member name removed], We hope that every person we go out to help is happy and satisfied with our work and price. However, any time we auger a toilet in place to clear the toilet we let people know before we do the work that there is no warranty . We can not stop a toilet from clogging. We can install a new better flushing toilet, however, even a new toilet would not have any warranty as far as clogs go. We can only warranty repairs that we can control the future outcome, like the flush valve repair we did for you that has a 1 year warranty. Thank you, John Priority Response Plumbing"

The overall experience with them was good. The tank was installed out of plumb when first installed last December. Priority Response has since returned to the property and plumbed the tank. It looks good now. I am pleased that Priority Response reached out to me and corrected a problem, albeit minor.

Priority Response Plumbing and Rooter were out very promptly, and after having several people look at it, Priority Response were the ones that discovered the issue, which was great. It turned out I needed a roofer but he was the one that found the problem. The pricing was average of all the ones I looked at. The quality was very good.

I called at end of day Friday when I found the waste in the sink. He arrived in about 1 hour. Worked hard for 3 hours, well into the evening. He roto-rodded out the drain, got the drain open, cleaned up well. He was done and gone in 4 hours from the time I called. I have a damaged clean out access that I clamped shut with bolts. He handled it quickly. He carefully informed me on arrival of the costs and possible increases. I'd use this company again.

He was able to come out the same day, and replaced the pump for us. While there, I asked him about another problem we were having due to the original contractor's mistake. He recommended a solution, and fixed it during the same visit. This corrected a long-time issue we'd be having with the routing of the sewage line for the ejector pump.

A couple of weeks later, the alarm for the sump pit went off, and I found that the pump wasn't running. Called them to come out, and they came twice to replace the original switch, one time on New Years' Day. they kept at it until they found a switch that would work in our unique sump-pit.

Two years later, the switch failed, and I called him for service. He was there within 20 minutes, and replaced the switch with a better one for free. Overall, these guys are not the cheapest, but their work is top-quality and they stand by it.

After we discovered our very newly finished basement underwater, we called plumber after plumber in an effort to find someone who could come out to our house ASAP on a Sunday night (around 8:30 pm). Priority Response was probably the seventh or eighth 24-hour plumber I called and only the second one who could even get someone out to my house that night. John committed to being at our house in an hour, whereas the other company said it would take at least two hours to get someone out.

John showed up on time, assessed the issue and charged a VERY nominal price for coming out at 9:30 pm on a Sunday night. We hired Priority Response to come back a couple days later and replace the pipe.

The customer service was outstanding. John was very easily accessible in order to schedule the repair work and showed up on time for both visits. I would unconditionally recommend Priority Response to anyone.

We had water damage on our first floor ceiling. John came out and assessed the situation, conducting some diagnostics by running the water upstairs and was able to rule out any sort of leak in our plumbing. It appeared to be water damming from our roof running down a pipe. John was very fair and honest in his assessment. He could have easily suggested additional work to "get to the root cause" but advised against it. Nice to see an honest service provider and we will definitely use again.

Service was good, installer was professional, knowledgable. Pricing was higher than I originally anticipated but believe that the quality of the materials/fixtures installed warrated the added expense.
