 + -1 moreHe did not show up, therefore I would not even consider him.
Description of Work: Did not show up to do the estimate when he was supposed to at 10:30. I stayed until 11:30 and he was still not there. Left a business card and flyer in mailbox sometime after I already left my rental property. Did not inform me that my old railing from 1966 was out of compliance with current standards.

 + -1 moreWhen I first spoke to Bob, he couldn't have been nicer. Then he disappeared, due to a cold which is reasonable. But when I stayed home for him to inspect it in person (he showed up as promised), and then called the following day to follow-up, his/company's phone no longer worked. I also checked them out in BBB and they have an unsatisfactory rating. A shame since there seems to be so very few welders in city of Chicago who will perform this type of work.
Description of Work: Replacement of top diamond plate platform of stairwell.

 + -1 moreWHEN I CALLED BOB AND EXPLAINED MY SITUATION, HE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN NICER. I CALLED AROUND DINNER TIME AND BOB WAS THERE THE NEXT DAY TO DO THE JOB. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND BOB AND HIS COMPANY FOR ANY WELDING NEEDS. HE IS EXTREMELY COURTEOUS AND HELPFUL AND THE PRICE WAS EXTREMELY REASONABLE. I WILL DEFINITELY CALL HIM IN THE FUTURE SHOULD I NEED HIS SERVICES IN WELDING, IRON RAILINGS, ETC. I GIVE HIM AN A PLUS FOR HIS WORK, PUNCTUALITY AND OVERALL GREAT PERSONALITY.
Description of Work: IN THE COURSE OF RE-LANDSCAPING OUR HOUSE, I FOUND A 12 FOOT SECTION OF STEEL SHORINGS UNDERGROUND THAT WERE THERE FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER. I NEEDED SOMEONE TO COME OUT AND CUT THEM DOWN ABOUT 2 FEET BELOW THE SOIL LINE SO I COULD PLANT BUSHES AND TREES.

 + -1 moreBOB WAS VERY HELPFUL ON THE PHONE WHEN WE PUT OUR ORDER IN. NOT ONLY DID THEY PROVIDE US WITH THE BEST QUOTE BUT ALSO WITH EXCELLENT SERVICE. THEY ARRIVED ON TIME AND COMPLETED THE JOB WITHOUT ANYONE KNOWING THEY WERE THERE. BOB CALLED ME A WEEK LATER TO COME BY TO GIVE US AN INVOICE. I WORK WITH A LOT OF CONTRACTORS IN MY BUSINESS AND KNOW WHEN I FIND AN A+ COMPANY. THEY PROVIDE AN EXCELLENT VALUE WHICH IS RARE NOWADAYS.
