Les and his crew did an awesome job installed 2 slabs and a walkway. They exceeded expectations in every way. Excavated dirt was neatly spread in areas that needed it. Les made great suggestions for improvement including a ramped sidewalk. This will be easier and safer and a godsend to visitors with walking difficulties.

Mr. Lukazewski had included in the cost estimate replacing another large section of sidewalk which he later said he didn't remember that. He had offered to write out a detailed proposal which he also "forgot." Mr. Lukazewski left before the work was completed on May19th. Workers said they would return in two days to complete areas left unfinished. Forms surrounding the patio area are still in place. At the end of the second day (the 19th) he asked for the remainder of his payment. Because there were still workers on the job, I paid him...and learned a valuable lesson since they too disappeared without completing the work. To be fair, they had been on the job since 8 am and it was almost 6 pm when they left. The work was sloppy; a crack on the landing was left that way; holes were not filled. My son called him at least three times and he promised he would be back to take care of the area left undone but never showed up. Since these things need to be addressed before I can replace the railings the situation is somewhat hazardous. This is a person who talks a good job but has consistently lied.
Description of Work: Removed and replaced concrete 7steps to 1st floor and 7 steps and landing for 2nd floor plus two sections of sidewalk . Poured cement to create a small patio area.

Pretty well considering the enormity of what they were doing. I appreciate that they were very diligent and punctual in completing the work, and though they moved lot of dirt, there was minimal disruption. They cleaned up the excavated dirt off the street every day and did everything they could to keep the work area neat. We did have some dust in the house of course with a project like this. They worked well with my contractor to coordinate putting in the new support posts and my house didn't fall down. They were also open to feedback from our architect about the proper footing sizes and foundation construction techniques, though utlimately we had to create a compromise in order to keep everyone happy. I would happily recommend or work with them again.
Description of Work: Bell Concrete excavate our basement to prepare for a remodel down there. They excavated our basement floor about 2', poured new footings and a ledge to hold the existing foundation wall in place.
