I can't believe how clean they left the yard and What an excellent price they gave me. They were very careful to avoid any damage to my lawn or property. Very good workers! I had just contacted them the day before and they squeezed me in! The owner Al couldn't be nicer.

Because there were bees in the tree, it was necessary to wait for the temperature to drop. When they came the work took less than 3 hours. They brought several men to assist. The branches were all mulched and the large parts of the tree taken to the road and removed. The back yard was raked and cleaned up. It was a very professional operation from start to finish. I would call them any time work like this was involved.

Really quick once I was able to get in touch. They were fast about estimating the work, but I hit the high season for trying to schedule. It took a few phone calls to get them scheduled, but it was well worth the extra effort of following up. They were half the price of everyone else I had estimate the work. One tree was incredibly close to the house (like inches away) and they were able to cut the tree down without anything hitting the roof or my composting container that was set right against the tree. They were professional, fast, effective, and thorough. I would use them again in an instant.

Took a little longer than anticipated to schedule, but they did good work. Very efficient and clean up was immaculate.

Although we did not decide to hire Rivas Tree Service I felt the quote visit was very professional and convincing. The gentleman Al (owner I think) really knew his trade and was very easy to speak with. He was confident in his ability to tackle the job and he answered all my questions thoroughly. The quote was on par with other quotes we received. Although they are a gold shield and Super Service Award winner (which I know I can trust) I went with a company that I had first hand knowledge of. I would be very confident to hire Rivas Tree Service in the future and would easily recommend them.

The work went extremely quickly, and after it was done everything was cleaned up nicely. No complaints. Scheduling was a little tedious, but that's mostly on us because of the smaller job and wanting to be present when it happened.

The removal went fine - the quality was fine. The issue was scheduling - I had a follow up several times. And they never seemed to remember our previous conversations/where we were in the process. I have liked better

They called me within 24 hours to discuss what I needed. After that it was hard to get a hold of anyone to set up a exact date for the work to be done. After I described what tree I wanted removed they came out and looked over the work, but I wasn't home, and messaged me with the estimate and additional cost. I rated it a N/A for punctuality because no date or time was ever set up. After about 3 weeks after my first call and several Angie list messages to Revis, I called them again, and they told me they would have it taken care of in 2 more weeks, but could not give me a date. We agreed that they would just come one day when they were available and take care of the the tree. When they did come, I was just so happy they did not forget me! It took about 6 weeks total to do the job, so if you are in a hurry to get work done, this may not be the company for you. A crew of about 4 came, and took the tree down in about 40 minutes. They were all very professional and did a beautiful job removing my tree. I was extremely happy with their work. They took away and mulched the tree onsite. They were respectful of my property and cleaned up after the job. I paid through Angie list, $300 for $400 of tree service. It did not cover the total price. I needed $175 more to do the job. There was no surprises on the price, which was quoted before the service which I liked. Revis does excellent work.

Rivas was significantly cheaper than other Angies list estimates that I received. That made me nervous, but I went with them. While communication prior to doing the job was not the greatest, I was very happy with the work done.

It took a little while to get them here due to the recent storms and others issues. However, once they came, it took ~ 30minutes from start to finish to take down the tree. That included grinding the stump and cleaning up the yard, better than they found it. It was impressive to watch them take the tree down so fast while being safe about it. I would definitely use them again and recommend them.

They were great. Al and crew were fast, but safe, and very courteous.Two of the trees were just feet from the garage. Moved patio furniture away from the work area. and put it back exactly as it was. Cleaned the yard up very nicely - you could never tell they had been here, except for the remaining stumps.

They were awesome! Safe, quick, professional, reasonable, and fun to watch.

I emailed Rivas Tree Service to get an estimate on removing two tree stumps in my back yard. They responded several days later, asking me to send them photos of the two stumps, which I did. Two days later I received a phone message from Mr. Rivas, indicating that he would be in my village later that day and would be able to remove the stumps for $200. I then left a phone message and sent an email, telling him that this would be acceptable and to proceed. The stumps were removed as promised, and the ground area was remediated reasonably well. There was only minor debris from the stumps left in the general area. I am pleased with the experience of dealing with this company and the outcome. This is in contrast to my experience with several other tree services who either took many weeks to respond to my inquiry or didn't respond at all.

I could tell at the time of the estimate that Al was going to be great to work with, and having seen the work he and his guys did yesterday, I was right. Al is very professional, with a calm, competent, friendly demeanor. He did what he said he'd do and very well. The willow went from a ratty eyesore to a specimen tree. The ash trees are a memory, with the stump ground well below the level of the surrounding lawn. I couldn't find so much as a twig after they were done cleaning up. The provider was very efficient and did a great job.

It took a while for us to connect due to a lack of availability on my part. I had the trees pruned years ago at a discount rate by somebody's "guy" and I am thrilled that this time I was able to get a professional to do the job right. Al provided an accurate estimate, showed up when scheduled, explained what he suggested doing and provided other options to me. Then did fantastic work and left the yard tidier than he found it. I'll be calling him again for regular maintenance. A great provider!

Al and his crew showed up early. Took the large tree down in less than three hours. The tree segments were removed by lunchtime. They cleaned up after themselves and put our fence back together. Lots of electrical wires and a garage near the removal site, and nothing was touched or disturbed. Couldn't have gone more smoothly.

His is very responsive, did excellent job. We like the job he did for us.

They arrived right on time in the morning. We had two large and very messy trees very close to the house. Rivas removed these two trees in a very careful and professional manner. They also trimmed five other trees in the back of the house and removed two small dead evergreen trees. They then ground the stumps from the two large trees and for a small additional sum moved the wood chips from the stumps to the back of the lot as mulch for the trees bordering our property. We were very pleased with the work done overall and the very professional manner in which the work was done. I was especially pleased that the owner, Mr. Rivas, was present for the entire job and participated in the work being done. I would highly recommend Rivas Tree Service and would definitely use them for any future tree work at our home.

So it was pretty seamless and easy to do with Rivas Tree. We did go back and forth on the phone but with my busy schedule and their busy schedule it was expected but we still were able get everything set. I know they are very busy and in demand and after being told it might be a week or two to get out here I was okay with that . But received a call two days later saying they would be out at 7am on Friday to do the job. And at 7am the whole crew was there at 7am and were gone by 745. Tree looks good and did a great job....could really tell they knew what they were doing and such an improved look from the last time we had the tree trimmed 7 years ago which you could not even tell it work was done and the other company didn't clean up. After they were done asked if everything was okay and I could barely tell that they did any work as they CLEANED up the yard really well. If you didn't see the tree cut you would never know they were just here working. Got a price for some bigger and full removals while they were here and once we are ready for that project we will be giving them a call to do it and wont be using any other company. Great job on the tree and a bonus that he was able to get out here sooner then expected. Would recommend to anyone asking for tree work that needs to be done.

Our selection process included getting estimates from four separate services. Two of the four were big names in the area and they were over priced order takers. The third bidder provided some feedback but was not all that engaged. But, when Al came out he got engaged in the conversation. He listened, asked questions and then started giving us ideas and his insights. But, he made it very clear that we had the final say. We were so impressed by his honesty and candor, we felt we really wanted to work with him and we were not disappointed. Because we were having a tree removed they called to have all of the utilities marked. This I expected. On the day of service they arrived and were very pleasant, courteous and professional. They moved all of our outdoor furniture and planters and cleared the area as well as they could. In the first hour they had dismantled the entire 70+ tree. As indicated work spanned three yards due to overhanging property lines. When they had completed the work in the other yards, they cleaned things up so well you could not tell they had been there. I personally walked each of our neighbor's yards and did not find any left over debris or damage. When they had completed the work in our yard we were very pleased with the results and I was very pleased at the minimal impact on our flowering plants, that could not be moved. They cleaned up the front yard and replaced the back gate they had removed, to get the stump grinder through. The backyard of course took the greatest hit, due to the tree removal, but they did a great job of cleaning it up. They even remounted our 30 pound wind chimes. The only thing left is for me is to chop and stack all of the wood my wife told them to leave behind. :-) They even cut the logs to my specified length for our fireplace. I would highly recommend Rivas Tree Service.

Did a nice job removing the tree and stump in my backyard. They were in and out in less than 30 minutes.

Had a dead pine tree surrounded by powerlines in the corner of my yard. Rivas called me back right away after I left a message and said he would come out in the next few days to evaluate the situation. He turned up 3 days later (a Saturday) when I was home and gave me a quote on the spot. Slightly on the upper-end of price, but it was going to be a difficult tree to remove with regards to size (100+ feet) and power-line complications (powerlines tight on two sides of the trunk and Comed pole on third side). We agreed on the price and he said he would give me a call a day before he came out (he estimated somewhere in the next 2 weeks). 3 days later he called me and told me the tree had been removed. I looked outside and indeed, the tree had been removed with such care and skill that I hadn't even noticed even after I had just finished mowing the grass. There wasn't even any disturbance to my lawn or hedges; there was barely any wood chips left. He didn't call me beforehand like he said, but ultimately Rivas was highly competent in removing the tree and the lack of call was ultimately just one less distraction for me. Highly recommended.
