I called Jake to get an estimate on 2 pieces of my uneven walkway where the top layer of cement that was previously laid down started chipping away, and he wouldn't give me a day/time for an estimate! He just kept repeating that "his company is the best in the business and only 3 people have been around for as long as him". He was extremely rude, constantly talked over me, and when I told him I was getting other estimates as well and would like to get it fixed ASAP so need to know when he would be coming, he WOULD NOT come out to give me an estimate until I gave him the estimates from others I was using! That's ridiculous and not how this process works!! I would not recommend anyone ever use them. One of my neighbors used them and they were extremely overpriced, hence why I wanted to get other estimates! He ended the phone call with "You know what, I'm not your guy!". Well done Jake and Power Concrete. Real professional......there's a reason you have a C+ on BBB!

Jake raised the slab on the side of the home along with a piece on the front of the home. When I saw the work it looked like the one in the front was right. But the slab on the side didn't look right. He informed me he could only lift it so high, he requested to have a heater removed to help him raise it easier. Afterwards, the side slab was still angled toward the home he informed me that there was pump that if it were removed that would allow Jake to raise the slab right and level. He would then come back after having the equipment moved. After removing the equipment, I called Jake and he said that he should be able to get to me at the end of the week since some to the equipment needed was wet. A couple weeks went by. I called back and spoke to Julie who said that now they know the slab is accessible she'd let Jake know to scheduled. On July, 30, I called and spoke with Tom who seemed aware of the situation. Tom assured me that I'm on the schedule. I called on Aug 1 letting them know because my landscaping is being held up. I left a message for Jake today and he called me back. We discussed that I need to have the services performed. Jake said he didn't see why I'm making a big deal out of the situation. Jake stated that he'd give me call and do the work when he comes to Libertyville next. Jake continued to escalate the situation. Jake got very angry and started cursing and me. Said that he didn't want me as a customer. I had paid him the $600 up front and now has not finished the project.

Excellent service, friendly, efficient, and very reasonably priced. The owner and his employee brought many pieces of our long sunken front sidewalk and a few pieces off our garage back door back to the correct height so that water wouldn't puddle there and flow the correct way. He was very knowledgeable and we feel he we went above and beyond to be sure we were satisfied. We are thankful for his advise and quality repair.

The job is not completed yet. Work was originally performed 10-23-2016. Check was issued to him and cashed. It is 03/02/2017 and the work is not yet complete. Oh yes, I had to remove a patch I had put on the worst sunken area as per Jake. That work of removing the patch was completed the same day I received this message. He was supposed to return after I removed that patch, because it protruded almost two inches higher than the original sidewalk. As of today, the side walk still has a 4 inch depth in the middle. I would never recommend this contractor as it seems the little guy doesn't mean anything. It is a matter of principle. If you say you will do the work, do it. I was more than flexible and have given plenty of time and chance.

Our front porch had tilted in against the foundation, I wasn't really aware of the mudjacking option to level it until recently. We went through a few quotes, I went with Power Concrete Lifting & Leveling based on the quote and my feeling that they would fix all of the uneven blocks without haggling about the number of holes drilled or the amount of material needed to be pumped underneath. Jake provided timely quote, and extremely fast turn on work done. Set all of the quoted concrete straight, and adjusted additional blocks which were uneven. I had them adjust a few additional spots, which they did for an nominal addition to the agreed fee. Services were provided as expected. Jake fixed what needed to be fixed and adjusted additional sections to match levels of the first set of adjusted blocks. We are very pleased to have our porch and walkway set level again. Very professional and timely, we will recommend to others. Only suggestion, and I'm not sure this is even possible, but if there is a way to color match the concrete patch on the holes to the weathered blocks, it would basically be invisible. That said, it's not even really noticeable as is, and I suspect after a few months it will be even less noticeable. Very pleased with the work done.
