 + -1 moreI asked for an invoice/estimate to be faxed to me so I could go over the list. The requested paperwork was promptly faxed and I called back and gave the go-ahead to perform the work. The 4wd gave some additional grief, but Chris kept me informed of his progress and options for repair along the ways. The truck now runs better than ever for an extremely fair price for how much work was done on it. Chris and Jeff are a couple of great, honest, fair auto technicians. They run the kind of shop that makes you want to wait around the water cooler at work for someone to complain of car troubles so you can recommend them and come through as a hero. It is a bonus that their facility is so close to me, but if I ever moved out of the area, I would still bring my cars to Northern Automotive. A talented, fair, and trustworthy mechanic isn't something you often come by these days. Glad I came across these guys.
Description of Work: I picked up a '92 GMC Sonoma with over 250k miles on it and the truck was in need of TLC. I mostly repair my own vehicles, or if it's a job that's too difficult for me. I take the car in with the explicit instructions to "replace part X with part Y that I have pre-purchased and brought with me". The truck was a different issue, because I had neither the time nor the ability to go over it and tell all that needed to be done. All I knew was that the truck was running rough, there was an occasional Service Engine Soon light, the 4wd didn't work, and one of my tires had a slow leak in it. Through a recommendation, I took the truck into Chris and Jeff and asked them to look it over and tell me what it needed. I went home nervously wondering how much financial damage they would be able to rack up for me. I got a call the next business day from Chris, who gave me the rundown of his recommendations: Tune up, timing, plugs, wires, distributor cap, etc., and part replacement for the 4wd.

Description of Work: Northern Automotive installed three fuel injectors in my 1993 Nissan. The car was dropped off and repaired over the weekend.
