We called this company in early June to get information on their “summer package” - 4 mosquito lawn sprays for $199. The office assured me they spray monthly June-September and that if there are any mosquitos between regular sprays they will come out and respray free on charge. They completed the first spray over 5 weeks ago— I paid in full per their service agreement — and haven’t seen them since. Both my neighbor (who signed us with me for the service) have called and they state “they should probably be out next week “ but made no promises. Meanwhile the mosquitoes are back in full force and at their current schedule my last prepaid spray will be mid October when there’s no need for it anymore.

They came out a total of 5 times.  I think it worked out to $200 for the five applications.

A lot of companies won't mow every other week, so I really appreciate them. Think their pricing is reasonable and the lawn looks decent (I actually don't like my lawn, so this is a compliment). There was one period last year where there was a bit of a timing problem, but they did sort it out.

For some reason, they never really showed up. They weren't bad on price. They just never came. I don't know what the problem was. A guy came and it was the exact same thing that the lawn care people I'm using right now were coming. He said, "We're backed up," and all kinds of stuff like that. There was no quality. Once or twice they came, they did the lawn. I had a very hard time getting them to come. You couldn't get them on the phone, it was just terrible. For somebody else, I guess, they are nice. I heard that they were good for things other than cutting the lawn, that they did fertilizer applications or something. They were not nice to me.

I only saw them spray once they were suppose to spray three times. Had more weeds this year than I've had in years. Also had a bumper crop of mushrooms all over my lawn, never had those before. I won't be using their service again.
Response from Naturescape
"[Member Name Removed], I apologize for the inexplicably poor service you received last year. We recently tried to reach you from our Gurnee office, but were unable to reach you. There was clearly an error in the way we set up your account, and I deeply regret that we were unaware of the error until now. Certainly, if we had set up the account correctly to give you the full number of applications you requested, your weeds would have been taken care of. That is the level of service we are used to providing, and I apologize again that we failed to do so for you. It is worth noting that mushrooms are not controllable with lawn care products, as they are caused by organic material rotting in the soil. Once the decay process finishes, you will stop seeing the mushrooms, but until then there is little to be done aside from picking them out or mowing them down. Nevertheless, had we been on your property more last year we would have been able to give you this information at a time that would have been more useful to you. I understand we have passed the point where we can directly address this issue. However, if there is anything we can do to make up for our error and provide the outstanding level of service of which I know we're capable, please get in contact with either the local Gurnee office or our corporate office. You will find all the necessary contact information at [hyperlink removed] including email addresses if you would prefer to communicate that way. We look forward to hearing from you!"

I'm not so happy with them. Their responsiveness is not so good. When they tell me that someone will call me up, nobody does. I have to do the followup myself. They are prompt in their work. I think the price was decent.

Price was a factor for choosing this company plus it was local. Didn't expect the lawn to look great the first or second year. This was our third year and there were definite improvements in some areas of the back yard. The front lawn continued to have its issues which was a concern to us.
Contacting Naturescape to return for follow up is where things went wrong. The office staff felt it was appropriate to allow the situation to be scheduled with the next application. Of course, this is not what is written nor what was requested. The technicians that came to the house weren't always the same....so they couldn't know what the lawn looked like the time before. They were the ones who worked hard to correct my request and were respectful on the hottest days of the summer.
I would say if it wasn't for the office staff would probably have continued to use them. However, we are going to try another local company and see how it goes.

I called the company and asked if they could cut my lawn because I was out of town and it got long. This was on a Friday and they said they would be able to come out on Monday. I said ok and when Monday came around they didn't show. So I called them the next day and they said they were a little behind and that they would be there on Wednesday. They showed up on Wednesday and cut my lawn but didn't do the weeds by the front walkway or by the entrance to the garage. I also have a ditch part on the other side of my fence next to the street and they only did the inner part of the ditch and didn't touch the outer part so now that is kind of long. There price is good and they sounded professional but I don't think I will be calling them again.

Services were started with Naturescape, but after first application I asked to come back out and re-treat due to missed areas. 5 days went by without a response, so I followed up directly. They let me know they would be out within 24 hours to re-treat, but never received a call to let me know they were coming. 4 days later, they let me know they were coming out. I decided at that point to cancel services and request a refund since I was a having such issues. I am now two months down the road, and still haven't heard from them regarding my refund. I called and spoke with their branch, and they stated a follow up call would be made. Still waiting.....

Naturescape is friendly and professional to deal with over the phone. They prvided the services soon after arranging, and they provided a detailed analysis of the lawn, that didn't appear to recommend any services they truly thought weren't necessary ( no overselling). After the first treatment the lawn seemed to green up very quickly. The aeration looks good except it didn't seem to cut out many plugs on the hilly areas of my lawn. Also the plugs looked kind of small/shallow compared to some of my neighbors service. Overall I'm happy with their service so far.

We called around and saw that they strong reviews. Our lawn had quite a few problems with crab grass and creeping charlie. They informed us that it might take more than one season to see a full turnaround in lawn health. They ended up recommending a package that covered the whole summer. In terms of cost, it would have cost me about the same to do it myself purchasing fertilizer from the hardware store and those don’t address specific lawn problems, which would have required more cost. After one full season, the creeping charlie almost completely gone and the crab grass is moderately better. I am hoping another season takes care of the rest.
My only piece of constructive feedback would be the fact that they didn’t give specific information about when they were coming and what exactly they did to the lawn when they were here. They did leave a small checklist on their observations but I would have liked a little bit more. With dogs and kids, it would have been better to know when they were coming so I could make sure to keep them off of the lawn.

long story short- i ordered on their website. no one called me afterwards to set up service. i had to call when almost a week had passed since they charged my credit card but didnt make contact. lady at the office, Tammy, is really obnoxious and rude. she said they would be out in a few days, but couldnt understand why on earth i would want to know befor ethey came out to spray a pesticide at my property...i finally convinced her to call me at least the day before they were coming out to spray. another week had passed and i had still not been called, so i called again. then a date was finally set, but then tammy couldnt beleive that i was requesting at least some sort of 4hr window for when- she told me they would come sometime between 8am and 6 or 7pm... i told her i wanted to be there when they came so i could talk to them about how my property is and my expectations, etc...and also because i have pets, and dont want them in the yard when they come to spray...i thought that was mor than understandable, but tammy didnt...she couldnt believe i wanted a time window!anyways- they finally came out the following week from this call...but i was home, and was waiting...then i went out the front door for something, and saw the bill from the company hanging on the doorknob. this form said that the service was perfomed and complete and have $99 in the amount due block. i already prepaid for all three services....AND the gates to the backyard were all locked, and i was in my office the whole morning and had an unobstructed view of the backyard, and the guy was not ever in the backyard...?! so i called him on the number he had called from earlier and left a message asking what happened and how he could have done the service if he couldnt get in the backyard. then i also called the office to tell them as well. later i got a call back from obnoxious tammy, and she said that he was there but couldnt get into the backyard, so he was going to have to reschedule. so i asked her why he left the bill stating the entire service was performed without any problems, and why this was a bill stating i owe.....she went on about something-who-knows-what, but it didnt answer anything. she said he owuld be back out the next day....he did not....then i got real busy because of a wedding and a vacation, so i didnt get around to calling back until 10july. i got tammy again and told her i wanted to just get a full refund. she said no, i could only get refunded for the other two sprays cuz the first one was already done....i reminder her that no it was not ever done. at this point, tammy decides to go into an all out scream at me and yelled on about how i dont know what i am talking about because the guy was there and did it, so i dont know what i am talking about and wont be refunded the full amount....lliterally screaming at me!! so when i could finally get a word in over her cringing screeching voice, i told her to have the manager call me when he gets in, then she hung up on me...chad, the manager did call, and i told him what happened...he convinced me to let him have another chance, and that the guy would be out the next day...i did agree to this...the next day he did come out...my husband told him about how behind and the side of the fenced in portion of our backyard was still ours, and that there is where the most mosquitos are breeding because it is up next to a protected wetlands/swamp area, and so we would like him to spray real good out there. so he sprayed the yard...but we saw him go and just lean over the fence and spray the areas we told him about by just reaching over the fence....so wherever the spray might be able to reach...instead of going out there behind the fence to spray effectively....then he left...BUT he also lef tthe side gate WIDE OPEN when he left....just completely open!! so i went to work, and my dog got out of the yard and was roaming aroung the neighborhood! luckily a young girl recognized her as the dog from my house and brought her back (we are new to neighborhood so they didnt know us yet)....my dog could have gotten hit by a car, or attacked, or lost, or stolen or who knows what!! i found out when i got home from work that evening and was sooooo livid!! i called the office and lef ta message for chad to call me back and that i wanted the full refund back. the next day tammy called me back- i told her i wanted to talk to chad...she told me chad told her to call me and handle it...?!?! the manager didnt have the nerve to call and talk to me himself!?!?! i was floored by this!! to have tammy deal with the customer like this?!?! so tammy went on and on again about how i would not be refunded the entire amount....i couldnt even handle her voice anymore so i told her to process the refund for the remaining two sprays...in which she told me would take 6 to 8 weeks to be put back on my card...?!?!this company is ridiculous, and chad is a pathetic excuse for a manager in that he cant even deal with customers and has his secretary do it for him?! he should be ashamed of himself, and his company!

One time when they came for their routine treatment, it was about 2 hours before one of our 100-year rains. So, it turned out to be not effective. When I called them, they came back within 2 days. They were thorough. I had no more mosquitoes. In fact, I didn't see any mosquitoes all summer. They come and treat. You don't necessarily need to be home. As terms in punctuality, they have dates when they come.

The company was a bit slow to call and let us know when they were coming. We had to call them to find out why they didnt show up when they first said they would. Lawn was cut a bit high and was not overlapped, resulting in lines of "tufts" of grass. The man did the best he could with getting most of the leaves out that were caught in the fenceline.

They were very effective. One of the times they treated was within a few hours of a huge rain and they came back later to treat it again. I was really happy with them and referred them to others who have also been happy. I have found that other companies are considerably more expensive.

We had a great experience with this company. All services were on time, employees were professional and courteous. We feel our grass has improved @ 50% over previous years as compared to using retail products like Scotts or the like and doing it our selves. The price was right in-line with what we received. We will use them again next year.

They are reliable. They don’t do something that is not required, which the prior lawn service did not have. You don’t have to be on top of them that much. They come and see the work and if nothing has to be done, they don’t charge you. They respond well to service issues. We had asked for the trees in the backyard to be cut down. First time they didn’t do that. We mentioned it and they did it. They are doing that on a regular basis. Earlier with other company it was sticky weeds and that doesn’t happen with these people. It is a positive experience. Their bush and tree management was too high so I didn’t buy them. I would probably get my contract for next year.

Did reasonable work during last summer, but did not communicate well regarding winter cleanup. They ended up giving us a high price (over $200), never committed and never came. Hired another vendor for 2012.
