We upgraded our older piano console to a used 51” upright with a beautiful tone and sound quality. The staff at Family Piano were very courteous, attentive and knowledgeable helping us find the right instrument for our needs and budget. The delivery process was absolutely seamless. The movers were very careful and worked fast. They took the old piano out and installed the new one in about a quarter of an hour. Family Piano made sure that the piano was thoroughly tuned before delivery and also provided the first in-home tuning free of charge. The tuning technician was very thorough, she fine tuned the piano to perfection and checked every mechanical component making sure everything was working properly. We are very happy with our new instrument and the services we received from Family Piano. When time comes for the next tuning, we will be calling them again.

The service was excellent. The person I talked to on the phone was very courteous and helpful. They appointment was scheduled for the very next day as the technician happened to be working in my area. Michael was the technician. He was right on time and was very knowledgable and professional. He helped me with some other issues that were not related to the tuning and did not charge extra. He also gave me great tips for maintenance and the piano sounds great. I will definitely hire again!

The tuner did excellent work. Our piano hadn't been tuned in years so it needs another tuning in 6 months. We will have this tuner back then at less cost.

I am highly satisfied with the tuning and repair I received for my very old piano. The technician was friendly, engaged, and knowledgeable and I could tell he loved pianos. I was very comfortable having him do the work, and the piano is in great shape months later!

Alice was remarkably helpful when I was looking for my daughter's piano. She took into account our needs (current and long-term), my daughter's skill level, and our budget. She also stayed with us about an hour past closing so we could make the right decision without needing to rush or come back another time. The delivery company they work with was efficient, timely, and polite. Such a good experience!

They are very good, they came out and gave me tips on taking care of the piano. I use them once a year just before Christmas. He even gives me tips on the placement of the piano so it is not near heat and get the full effect of the sound.

I used Family Piano for piano lessons, and I have been very happy with them. They had a variety of days/times for lessons, and the staff is very nice and helpful. Only downside is having to drive through Waukegan to get there...

Michael was prompt and professional. He tuned the piano, and when he was finished he clearly demonstrated a minor issue (bobbling hammers) and provided a cost estimate to fix the issue at a later date. We received a $10 discount (off the usual price of $95) based on our referral from Kevin's Piano Moving. I will definitely continue to use Family Piano in the future.

Great business. We bought a piano from them in mid 2010; our sales experience was great. Very knowledgeable, courteous and just downright nice people. The first tuning was included in the purchase, as was delivery. Both went fine; no complaints! High attention to customer satisfaction throughout the experience.

Tuned my full-sized grand after a major remodel where there had been lots of airborne dust for 7 months.  So after tuning, they also cleaned out the inside of the instrument.  They are very pleasant, competent people to work with, and fairly priced.

They are good. They are prompt and informative. The technician is nice and the people that make the appointments are nice and friendly. The piano is in tune when he leaves.
