He always explains where the mice are currently active, possibly getting into the house, ways we can help prevent the mice from entering and also disposes of any dead mice. Very friendly, personable and always on time and courteous. We will continue our services and would highly recommend ARC.

I have used them for 6 years. He is very personable and nice. His price is reasonable and he happens to be the third generation having this job.

He was here less than 24 hours after I called. He listened to my complaints about ants, inspected my entire house and yard, and educated me about ants and pest control. He did a thorough job spraying for the ants and took great care not to make a mess or damage anything. He used a liquid spray and an aerosol spray. He then put down bait stations to kill any that might have been missed. While he was taking care of the ants, he noticed some signs that we may have (or had) mice, too. (So much for having a cat!) Speaking about pets, he was nice with our cat and reassured us about the safety of the products he was using.
He went under the deck to check and found where they might be coming in and advised me on plugging that hole. He put some mouse bait stations at strategic places. We reviewed all the instructions and he told me to call if I have any questions or concerns.

We saw a mouse and mouse droppings. We had Jim Durkin out and he set traps. Now, no more nice. I highly recommend him and his son. They have been in business for about 40 years and know what to do.

After our tenant vacated our house we discovered that they left not only clothes, furniture, bikes, etc, but also new tenants that don't pay - roaches. There were roaches coming out of the baseboards and electrical outlets while we were cleaning! It was disgusting.
Luckily, Kris indicated that it wasn't in fact a severe infestation, so one treatment was all that was needed. Kris was incredibly nice and funny. I enjoyed chatting with him after he had sprayed. He warned me that the chemicals don't smell good, so I'd probably want to work in another area of the house, however I discovered that the house actually smelled better after the spray (haha).
I was incredibly happy that he was able to come to the property on such short notice (with in 2 hrs of my initial call). That first spray killed the majority of the roaches, the remainder we took care of with spray and 'hotels' (note that the 'remainder' of the roaches was probably 4 - but for me 1 is too many).

He did the job as expected, but we thought the cost was too high for the time he was here.....also, as he went around the house to look for other pest problems, he noticed we needed some caulking around some windows, and offered to come back and do that work for $200.....so he was soliciting work that was and quot;on the sideand quot; maybe because we were seniors. I have never had a repair person do that before...it just gave us a negative feeling.

We called Kristopher Durkin because we had recently seen a mouse in the kitchen. (We had used him a few years ago for help with squirrels.) He came the next day and found a break in the caulking around the air conditioning hose entering the house. He sealed it and set bait around the basement. He will come back in 6-8 weeks to check again. He explained exactly how the bait works and how mice behave. He was very professional and knowledgeable.

He called and arranged a convenient time for the application. While he was applying the insecticide around the foundation of my house, he noticed an opening. Evidently something was hit by the large tree limbs after the July storm hit Lake County.
His alerrtness led to a thorough investigation of the problem by a contractor and the claims adjuster for my insurance company.. The opening in the foundation was clue to what had been happening since the intense storms hit Lake County in July.Evidently a chimney cap was dislodged and the water from unusually heavy rainfall (7-1/2 inches ) had seeped between the house and siding causing about $3,000 in damages. Currently in the process of getting repairs done to corrrect this problem.
If he hadn't observed the problem, the cost of repairs would have been much higher considering how wet snow would have compounded the problem during the winter season ahead.

Had bees in a soffit next to a patio door. Called ARC and they quoted a price of $75 for a single story house. They arrived on schedule, explained the procees and what to expect and did the job quickly. The results were as promised. We will use them again. Local business, What could be better.

I am happy with them. They did an excellent job and did it fast. They didn't make any trouble. They gave me directions on how long I needed to be in the house. They were professional.

Excellent service. I like the idea of dealing with a local contractor who takes care of a specific problem and doesn't try to sell you a continuing service when you don't need it.

I was very pleased with Kristopher's work from start to finish. The job was done exactly as described and priced. He worked around my schedule.

Kris was friendly, well informed, very polite and respectful, non judgmental. I'm a new owner of a property that had not been well cared for. He was upbeat, confident, and reassuring that the bugs would be gone, and that we were treating the problem in the right time frame. He continually reiterated that he would return at any time for a reapplication. He was at my home in under 24 hours of my first call. His service call never felt rushed, he made it seem as if I was his only and most important customer of the day. Plus, he was kind to the pets. Best of all, in another 24 hours, the ants really were gone!
