The work went great. Lowell fit us in his schedule even though he was really busy. Everything turned out great and we are very happy.

The project went great. This isn't the first time we've used Lowell for remodeling work and it won't be the last time either. Lowell came in, put down protective drop cloths and other items to protect our house and keep it clean, did the work in a thorough and meticulous manner and cleaned up after himself. The project was on budget and done a day early. All this even after our terrible decision making ability when it came to the tile choices!
I can't say enough about how good a job Lowell (and anyone he chooses to bring with him) does. If you get estimates, Lowell may not be the cheapest estimate, but I would hire him every time. I may be able to get someone a little less expensive, but nobody I've ever hired does as good and meticulous a job as Lowell does. The bottom line is, when I hire Lowell to do something, I stop worrying whether it will be done correctly or not. I know when he's coming that I'll be happy with the outcome.

Lowell started when he promised and had someone here every day, the job progressed at a steady pace.  The only hiccup was a small material availability delay, which was not even in his control.  When adjustments were requested, he quickly implemented the changes without hesitation.
The finished product is beautiful - we finally have a functional and aesthetically pleasing kitchen for which we have received many compliments about.   
We have used Lowell in the past, and have always been satisfied.  We would highly recommend Homestead Improvements for any job, large or small.

Quality of work high throughout the project. Care and clean up of the work area in the home was also top notch. Price was on the high side perhaps but quality was present start to finish.

Great firm to work with.  Lowell and his crew were wonderful to have in my home. I know a fair amount about remodeling and Lowell was right on the money with the correct materials and methods and with quality workmanship.  He worked efficiently getting the correct permits required and I was personally there for the city inspections.  Lowell sailed right through without any corrections required.  Lowell kept everyone on schedule and was sensitive to my travelling schedule.  Good quality at the right price with no corners cut, what more could one ask?   I'd hire Lowell again in a heartbeat.  I couldn't be more pleased.

Overall, the service was very well done and of the highest quality that I've seen before. The service was very punctual and although there were 2 re-schedulings of the work due to conflicting work, they were prompt in letting me know ahead of time about the need to change when the work would be done.
The only thing that didn't go according to plan was the actual cost of the work versus the estimate. There ended up being more pieces of siding and a steep roof that required more time from the 2-man team that resulted in both higher labor and materials costs.
The work was very high quality and I would recommend others utilize them as well. While Homestead Improvements seems to be on the higher side of cost/price for labor and materials, it seems you get what you pay for.

They are very reliable and do quality work. They did what they said they were going to do and did it on time. I would not hesitate to have them do more work for me. Before I consider anybody else I would get in touch with them.

It went really well.  They were very prompt and always showed up when they said that they would.  They were quite careful to minimize the mess and did a great job of cleaning up.

We needed more space with our growing family.  Homestead Improvements Inc. provided valuable insight on design options for our beautiful new garage.  The HI Inc. plan was put in place and they handled the project start to finish all within our budget. 
To say that we are happy is an understatement, the garage adds the space we needed and value to our home.

This project, though one we did not expect, went very well.  The work was done to our satisfaction and we really enjoy our new sunroom.

The project went very smoothly and fairly quickly overall considering the scope of the work. Lowell is a very detail-oriented person, a skilled craftsman, open to suggestions and ideas, and a good problem solver.
This is a 40 year old house, with a lot of quirks and 'issues'. He resolved all of the problems he encountered, as well as handled the main projects smoothly and professionally. The widow projects were performed with as little disruption & damage to the interior finishes as possible, and clean up was well taken care of each day. He found creative ways to remodel an old screened-in porch, and gave it new life.
When the windows came in, he had a large crew on hand. All of them were talented workmen in their own right. They provided the additional "lift" needed to ensure that the house was was closed up quickly.
Definitely a high-quality contractor.
