"First of all this matter did not happen in May. The scheduled call was Thursday July 7, 2011 between 10:00 and 10:30 am. The customer posted 2/8/2012. The same day the receptionist recieved a call from her saying she wanted to make sure we were the company that she didn't want to use again. The next day another customer alerted us to the fact that we had a bad rating on Angies' List. We checked and found it was her. We would like to respond. Bill arrived at the customers home at the schelduled time. When I talked to the customer to schedule the appointment, I knew by the symptoms that her refrigerator had a defrost problem. I instructed her to thaw the unit overnight as it would save her the cost of Bill having to do it. She said she would. Bill arrived and diagnosed it as the defrost heater. He carries several, but didn't have the one she needed and would have to order it. He told her he could be back Monday. She had company and wanted to know if he could finish Friday if she picked up the part. He told her it was a distance to go there and he would get it the next day. He had originally planned to take Friday off. She said she was going that way and wanted to pick up the part, so he agreed to finish Friday. Bill told her not to pay for the part, it would go on our account so we could make the profit instead of the parts house. She claims to have misunderstood this step, but while she was at the parts house the associate there called the shop and told us she was insisting upon paying for the part. They told her she wasn't supposed to, but she said she wanted to. The associate also said she had nothing nice to say about Bill. She called later and told us she had the part. We told her that sence she paid for the part we would not be doing the service. No further work was done and she was not charged for anything by us."
