Prior to installation they were given a plat of survey and physically shown where the
septic lines came out of our home.
In the spring of 2011, our septic began backing up into our
basement and by the time we realized it we had lost a couple thousand dollars’
worth of items due to them being in sewage.
We then hired a reputable and respected septic company to un-clog our line. We thought nothing more than we plugged our
line somehow.
A little over a year later (May 2012), our septic again
began backing up into our basement. This
time we were lucky to have caught it before it did any substantial damage. Again, we hired the same reputable septic company and
asked them why this would happen again – we have not had a problem in 6 years
then 2 years in a row? They decided to
power rod and hit something. They said
it was the fence! They also videoed the
line and sure enough – the fence was thru our main septic line from the house
to the tank with concrete in it. They
said without a doubt whoever installed the fence KNEW they hit the pipe since
so much was missing – whether hand dug or by auger. He said if who hit the pipe would have
admitted what they did immediately, it could have been a couple hundred dollars
to fix - not near $2000 to fix.
We had the necessary repairs done and tried contacting Woodland Fence
on May 28, 2012 and did not hear back,
so made a follow up call on June 1, 2012
to which we were told the owner had the message and would call back. June 25th we still had not
heard from Woodland Fence so we sent a certified return receipt letter which was received.
Upon our first attempts to contact Woodland Fence, we just wanted to
discuss this unfortunate situation, but since it appeared evident to us in our opinion they did not
want to talk, we sent them a letter on June 25th along with a letter from the reputable septic company
and photos and ask that you at least reimburse us for
our repairs of $1765 for our repaired septic line.
We did not ask for compensation for our lost goods or the other time
we had a clog. We had just hoped that in good
conscience and professionalism they would have at least contacted us. But nothing. We also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in August 2012 and Woodland Fence would not even respond to them and the BBB closed the case.

I called for an estimate for a small security fence. (33 feet of fence; 4 feet high). Many places did not want to bother with a small job, but Stu came out and reviewed my situation. He answered all my questions along with a few suggestions.
After I accepted Stu’s quote, they were out within 3 days to install the fence. The installation crew was prompt, friendly and professional. They did an excellent job installing the fence, and cleaned up everything when they were done.
I am very pleased with Woodland Fence.

I called Woodland for an estimate on replacing/repairing a split rail fence. The representative came out for our appointment on time and said that he would work up a couple of different quotes -- one for replacing the worst parts of the fence and another for replacing the entire fence. When I didn't hear back from him in a few days, I called the office to find out how soon I might expect the quote. The woman on the phone was very nice and said that she would ask him to call me, but he never returned my call. I assumed that he did not want my business, so I hired another company to do the work.

Tim was great when he came out to give us an estimate. The works that installed the fence were very friendly and professional. They did a great job!

They had to remove the damaged fence side and then reinstall the new side. The workers were very friendly and accommodating and even helped me try to catch my Greyhound who inadvertently snuck out when they were working on the fence(we got him). They cleaned up well and saved me the little pieces of cedar that were unneeded after cutting for my outdoor fireplace. The worker also fixed a piece of cedar on my gate when he noticed it needed to be replaced. The work was completed in a very timely manner.

We talked with Tim for the estimate. He provided photos and left pieces of the wood. The thing I liked is that they use clear cedar. The thing I didn't like is that they charge extra for hauling away dirt. Also, caps other than the standard variety cost extra. Finally, he said we would have to get our own permit. I don't think we will use this company, only because of price.

Arrived on time, I asked him to show me what products his company offered but, he had no literature or photos to show me. He wasn't bothered about seeing the survey to enable him to determine were the property boundaries lay. Instead he just went straight into the rear yard and proceeded to measure. He said he would e-mail me the estimate, but alas I am still waiting, but not to worry, they will never get the job anyway.
