We were on well water when our pipes sprung a leak. Unfortunately, our pipes are under the driveway and masonry walls. So we opted to tap in to city water. John Bollweg and an assistant did all the plumbing work and had a driller/borer put a line through the front yard. They prepared us in advance for what was needed, such as clearing out a section of the basement for the work and repairing the front easement after the work was completed. The job went smoothly, much more than we expected since it was complicated. John came the day before the drilling to install the interior pipe in preparation. The driller/borer came the next day and did the underground work while John excavated outside and hooked everything up inside. The entire crew was efficient and professional. They cleaned up after themselves.

I used JH Bollweg for multiple repairs/services.  Always reasonably priced, on time and professional.

Replaced the valve, replaced the wax gasket and aligned the toilet.  Quality work.

Evaluation of problem and estimate on Monday morning before Christmas. Came back the same afternoon with a partner to replace well pump in 12 degree weather using their own equipment. Project done in about 3.5 hrs. Very professional job including cleanup of the area outside.

Too long ago to remember.

Plumber - sorry I don't remember his first name but he was one of the Bollweg's - arrived at my house earlier than expected, began removing old disposal in very tight quarters, installed new disposal, again in very tight quarters, and completed job within an hour. I have lived in my house for over 20 years and have dealt with J.H. Bollweg and Sons, Inc. on several occasions. I have always been very pleased with the work that was done and the immediate response to my requests for service. They do a wonderful job and always leave my home as clean as when they arrive. I will continue to use them for my plumbing needs.

My sump pump failed overnight; I called Mr. Bollweg the following morning and he came within an hour. He checked whether only the float/switch failed (which was less than a year old), but it was the pump itself. He explained the situation and showed me the new pump before installing it. I expressed some concern about the relatively short draft (6") for this model in a deeper sump, but difference between it and the old pump was minimal (2" less). He installed it promptly, along with a new check valve and the PVC piping out of the sump. This was a messy job in a crawlspace with standing water, but the work took a little more than an hour and was very equitably priced. One year guarantee on the pump. This was my first contact with Mr. Bollweg, but I will call him whenever I need plumbing service in the future.

I've had no problem with this company, but I think they are a little high. I had them put in cut off valves for the water spigots outside in 2000 and then I had a sump pump replaced for the laundry and another sump pump for the outside. I call them back whenever I have any problems.

The project went very well, and although the cost was high, it was better than I expected.

I noticed that water had backed up into both sides of the double utility sink in the laundry room. After trying to clear the blockage, opening up the trap and then trying to break through again with a plunger and a hand rodder, I was prepared to admit failure and decided to call Bollweg. The woman I spoke with was very pleasant and said that someone would be at my house within an hour. He arrived shortly after, as promised, and started working on the drain. He brought in some heavier duty equipment and finally got it cleared. He cleaned up everything, packed up and all was back to normal. The serviceman was friendly and professional.

They have an hourly rate that is about $91.50 and that is what they charged me. They were able to get the job done fast and the piece of pipe that they replaced wasn't even that big.

Plumber was available same day as repair requested. JH was on time, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it very efficiently. Cost was very reasonable.

THEY ARE VERY PUNCTUAL, THEY ARE ON THE JOB IMMEDIATELY. THEY DO GOOD WORK, AND WE WILL DEFINITELY KEEP USING THEM.

WE HAVE USED THEM FOR THIS JOB FOR 30 YEARS. WE NEVER HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE EMPLOYEES OR THE DRAINS AFTERWARDS. THEY COME AT THE TIME PROMISED AND CLEAN UP WELL AFTER THEMSELVES. THEY ALWAYS STAND BY THEIR ORIGINAL PRICE QUOTED.
