We had an excellent experience. First they were patient as I struggled with all the choices. Once I decided on the flooring, they gave complete estimate (no surprise costs at the end), scheduled the work with my contractor, and completed what turned out to be a very challenging job because of our house characteristics.

Awesome group to work with. Can't say enough good things about everyone who came to work on the bathroom. Courteous, hardworking, great group of people.  My bathroom looks fantastic!
Great selection of tile at the store; I'll be back for more flooring in the very near future.

We had our living room and stairs re-carpeted, Exploring had a great price. I have used this company before and was very pleased. The installers were on time, removed the existing carpet and padding, placed it on the driveway for pick-up and installed the carpeting. They moved all the furniture back in the room and were very professional. The next morning the old carpeting was picked up by a company that recycles carpeting! We are very happy with this carpeting!

Absolutely wonderful experience. Exploring flooring was punctual, professtional and thorough. Everything was done as promised and they cleaned up after themselves. The price was just right and we love everything! This is a family-owned business - so much better than the "big" guys.

Excellent. We were purchasing a new home and had arranged with the company to install carpet the day after our closing. The carpet that was installed had a slight imperfection in it, causing the seams to be more noticeable than usual. Explooring Flooring chose to deliver and install the carpet so that we could move in. They then came back a week later, moved all our furniture for us, and installed replacement carpeting for us. They offered this solution without us even having to ask. They are polite, professional, and fair. I highly recommend them.

perfect. Very good quote, found me the white carpet I wanted at a competitive price (including a special texture that was out of production for the living room), installed right before xmas, installers were very nice and even came back to fix a floor transition area to perfection. Great service. Highly recommend!!

Have to update this report. It has now been two months since I accidentally dropped coffee on the carpet. Even though John at Exploring Flooring has played email tag with me, they have yet to help me solve the stain problem. The coffee was was immediately blotted and he recommended a specific stain removal process which I folllowed. The stain did not fully remove. I still have a yellow stain on white carpet and I have had the carpet now for approximately six months so there should be some type of warrentee. He said he would have Shaw Carpet contact me. It's now been weeks since this promise was made and no one has contacted me and not once has someone come out to fix the problem. My stain warrantee appears to be USELESS. Beware of Shaw Nylon Carpet and Exploring Flooring. Stains do not come out of it and unfortunately I purchased white carpet throughout the house.. It seems like I should have some type of warrenty card to get service from the manufacturer but all I have is the sales slip Exploring Flooring gave me. I have no idea of how to get this stain out and will have to call a carpet cleaner and hope they can help. Apparently, I'm on my own after spending $6500.00

Everyone at Exploring Flooring was great. Our salesman John was very helpful. Brought samples to our home and was happy to leave them. Delivered larger samples in the colors we were interested in once we narrowed our choices. He seemed genuinely interested in choosing the best carpet for us. I have never seen an installer or contractor in any trade work as hard as the installers from Exploring Flooring. The guys were jogging up and down our stairs with carpet rolls on their shoulders. They were very professional and did a great job. You can't find a seam in our carpet anywhere. It looks great!

Everything went pretty much as planned. It was a very messy ordeal with all of the cutting and dust. I was surprised no floor covers were used as the entry was in and out of our newly buffed and sealed hardwood floors. Very hard working and good installers, who were open to explaining everything they were doing and why.

I called the company, made an appt. and took a look at their samples at the store. John came over the next day, on time, to measure and take a look. He told me we could have an installation within 7 days. We had to cancel and reschedule, but they were very accommodating, and were there as promised. The crew came out the day before Christmas Eve on a snowy cold day. They brought padding to walk on so that they did not track snow through the house. They were very polite, refused a cup of coffee and got right to work. One of the men even removed a closet door that I had trouble getting off. Best of all when I went up to check, they had cleaned up after themselves and put the door back on without me having to ask! If I need flooring or carpeting, I know who to call! Thanks guys!

I was tired of the white vinyl flooring in my downstairs and wanted a wood look but not necessarily a wood product due to wear and tear issues (dog, kids, multiple doors to the outside) and possibility of catastrophic water events. In fact, while my husband and I were discussing wood vs. vinyl, the toilet malfunctioned and dumped 1/2 inch of water on the floor. John of Exploring Flooring recommended the Amtico product and came out and discussed the concerns I had about the area, including the sloping section of the floor. He quickly emailed me an estimate and I borrowed samples of the product to try to pick colors. John gave me some useful advice on picking colors, and I would suggest to people doing this that if they are working with existing fixtures, like cupboards and such, that they take a sample of that fixture (door, drawer) to the store and start that way, rather than getting a bunch of samples and taking them home. However, John was happy to lend me as many samples as I wanted and for weeks at a time. Finally I picked colors and ExpFloor ordered the product. This seemed to take longer than I expected - perhaps we miscommunicated - and since I was also trying to schedule a painter to come after the flooring, I wish that hadn't happened. I had ceiling drywall that needed a lot of repair, and John had advised me to get that taken care of before the floor due to dust and mess generated by the repair. That wasn't necessary. It did generate a lot of mess, but the painter had lots of tarps and such to protect the floor. Once the installers arrived, everything went fine and pretty quickly. I think they did 2 days of floor prep and 2 days of actual installation. The installers showed up when they said they would, and worked full days and sometimes into the evening. They told me when they would arrive and when they would leave. When they needed to stay late, they let me know in case it would create a problem for me. They didn't seem to mind the dog, even though I had to put up a gate to keep the dog out of the room they were working in, which meant they had to open/close the gate to get back and forth to their truck. After they were done, a carpet guy came and retacked the carpet in the adjoining room and installed a sill between the 2 rooms. This looks better than it did before, and they fixed a small problem that the carpet installer had created. The only issue with the project was that one strip came unglued near a door sill in the hallway. I noticed this during the installation, called to the installers' attention, he fixed it, and then after they left, the strip came up again. I called Exp Flooring and they sent the installer back to fix it. It seems fine now. Now that the project is over, the room looks GREAT! I like the look of the product and I think vinyl was the practical choice for this area.

We had been looking for a certain type of ceramic tile for our family room, and a company who would be able to lay it for us. After visiting some flooring companies in our city, we were disappointed in either the knowledge about replacing carpet with tile in a family room, or the quality of the tile we saw in their showrooms. I found Exploring Flooring's website, and they had a huge selection of flooring ideas, including the tile I was looking for. John Reed is the salesman we spoke to on our first visit, and he was very helpful and knowledgeable about their products, and gave us some good suggestions. In both houses, we placed the orders and had the work done in a very reasonable time period.
