Preamble: I first used A Climate Services 10 years ago, immediately after buying the present house.  The inspector had noted a faulty furnace.  I interviewed three companies and was impressed by the no-nonsense professionalism of Art Jones, the owner.  Not a sales pitch, but a lucid explanation of what needs to be done.  The company also prefers lines of equipment that get high marks for durability from the readers of Consumer Reports.  A Climate Services has been my HVAC contractor ever since.
1. I returned from a longish absence to discover that the AC was no longer blowing cold air.  It turned out that the compressor was on its last legs, needing a larger-than-spec capacitor to get it to start.  The unit was 30, maybe 35 years old.  Art said it could quit for good any time, so I had him write up an estimate.  He explained the reasons for preferring his recommended unit over units from (better known) sister brands: the compressor sits between the house and a deck and needs room for air flow, so the unit with the smaller footprint has an advantage.  He explained the warranty and added, "We offer extended warranties but don't push them."  A refreshing change from the mind games salespersons* sometimes play.   Also, $200 of the $213 charge for the repair would be credited to a new purchase.
*in particular a salesman from a big Chicagoland HVAC company
2. I did a little research on the unit over the weekend and ordered the work on Monday.  A technician came out on Wednesday.  The installation went as smoothly as can be.  The air is cold again, and the unit is (obviously) more efficient.
In summary, another excellent experience with one of the best companies in DuPage County.

These guys treat this as a career.  The knowledge and expertise they provide was second to none.  After getting multiple quotes I was floored with the amount of information they were able to provide.  Things the other guys didn't even touch on!   Every part of this process was professional, from the initial consultation, quote process to the final installation.

I needed a new HVAC system for my townhouse.  The first visit was to get the info for a formal quote.   We had a lengthy discussion about Furnace efficiency, A/C sizing, duct capacity and DC motor features.  He was very knowledgeable and good at answering my questions. 
I decided on a 97% high efficiency furnace.  This required running a new PVC exhaust pipe through the roof.  Because I live in a Townhouse, I had to submit drawings to the HOA board.  In this case, a few  pictures with some circles and arrows were sufficient.  Art was very cooperative and patient going through the HOA approval process. 
They removed the old equipment and installed the new systems.   What I didn't expect was how quiet the new systems are.  This was a pleasant surprise because the utility room is on the second floor (no basement). 
I will be recommending them to anyone who asks.  They were all very professional, courteous and helpful.

This business provides excellent service and competitive prices.  We bought our townhouse 7 years ago, and our first winter, the furnace went out on Super Bowl Sunday, late at night.  There was a sticker with this business on it, so in desperation  I called and someone was out within two hours to fix it -- and this was after midnight!  We've used them ever since.
    Most recently, we called for a service clean/check-up on our 12-year old AC unit, which had finally given out. The inspection was on a Thursday afternoon, and storms were expected Friday.   Andrew, a true craftsman at his trade, arranged to come out early Friday and get our new unit in so we would have AC for the upcoming hot, sweltering weekend.  As always, he was efficient, professional and courteous.
    We plan to replace our water heater and furnace through this company in the near future.  They are quality professionals with quality products, and we highly recommend them.

Local company, so gave them the business despite only getting two quotes. They were a lot cheaper than the second company, and incredibly responsive. The Owner answered the phone (or returned message) personally and was twice on my doorstep within 15 minutes of speaking with me. He knows these homes very well, and was able to accurately assess my needs without any phony sales attempt. Willing to answer all questions, and certainly demonstrated that he knew more about the 'stuff' than the other guy (from a very highly rated company here on AL).
So I signed the contract, and two days later the installer showed up on time and was quick, friendly, helpful and obviously very accomplished at his task. Within 5 hours (including running new copper to the condenser unit, for which Art (Owner) and another Tech came to assist) he was done and gone.
No mess, no hassle, no problems whatsoever. I doubt these new units will last 30+ years like the old ones, but that is hardly the fault of the installers! Great service, definite A+ all round.

I called a few companies to get estimates on replacing my old furnace (1984) adding air conditioning.
Art was very responsive. We were able to schedule the estimate date 2 days after I called. Art arrived at my house on time, and we went over my existing system together. He measured every room, examined the ductwork/vents, and gave me no BS answers to all of my questions. He informed me of a few NICOR & federal rebates and I received the estimate before he left.
I went with the company because A. I like to support small, local businesses and B. The very competitive estimate.
The 2 gentlemen that did the install were polite and professional. They were done in about 6 hours, much quicker than I expected! They went over the system and proper use in detail before they left.

This is a compilation of 18 years of experience with this company.  They have installed the correct equipment for our home, maintained it properly as needed, provided estimates to friends and neighbors when called upon and simply give us good, honest service.

Last Friday's thunderstorm flipped the breaker and, as it turned out, blew the capacitors on my Trane A/C unit.  I called A Climate on Monday to come out and fix it, getting an appointment 10:00-2:00 Tuesday.  The boss called Tuesday ~9 to firm up the time, and the tech was punctual.  He quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem.  The price for parts and labor were both fair.

Several years ago, I discovered this company when I needed a new furnace.  They impress me with their professionalism yet lack of concern in marketing gimmicks.  They do a good job and charge reasonable rates, e.g., $69 for regular service.  (They've told me they keep the price low by fitting such service into their travel routes.)

In summary, a great company for heating and AC.

First, finding the company. I did a Google maps search of HVAC companies in my area, and this was one of surprisingly few that had an informative website. I found that helpful. They responded quickly to my request for a quote and came to my house within a few days. The estimate was performed on-site and options presented to me before the salesman left. He did not try to oversell the system with extra or premium components that I was not interested in. They willingly accommodated my requests with reasonable prices for additional system components such as an exterior air intake and a communicating thermostat. They were here within a week of finalizing the agreement. Two techs working for most of a day installed our new high efficiency furnace and air conditioner. The furnace worked flawlessly from the first time it was fired up. Too cold out to check the AC. The furnace has been running great for a week now. Overall I was impressed with the service, the responsiveness of staff, and the price. I would definitely recommend to others.

Was willing to give estimate on phone and came out promptly for actual estimate. Gave several options and advantages and disadvantages of each. Did not insist on replacing what did not need replacing. Work was done in a timely manner.
