Home Building
aluminum coil started to oxidize. Looks like rust but aluminum does not rust, just makes holes and looks horrible. Have tried calling him about this and he does not return calls and just ignores us. I also called him earlier about some shingles I wanted put back down that blew up in the wind and he said he would be over sooner than later and he never showed so I had to have a friend of mine do the work. I think he used too short of nails when he did the shingles since the nails are coming out with the shingles that are blowing off the roof. The place Brett bought the aluminum coil told me that it states right on the packiaging that it is NOT TO BE USED ON TREATED LUMBER!
I thought we would give Brett another chance and had him remodel our bathroom. We wanted a walk in tile shower. Well he proceded to get epoxy glue all over the tiles on the floor, epoxy does not come off with anything. About a month after the shower was done the grout in the corners all cracked so he did come back and caulk those. I have had to caulk some since then and I have to do it now again as soon as the family is going to be away from the house for a while so the caulk can dry.
Should not use grout in corners in an old house. Too much shifting to not have it crack.
Needless to say Brett does not really know what he is doing and as far as I know he does not do much construction work and last I heard he is now trying his hand at taxidermy.
Overall I would not recommend Brett Janecke for any type of work.
What really upsets me is that he is now ignoring us and we have to go and spend more money to fix this stuff that we thought we were getting fixed to atleast last the rest of the lifetime of us living in this house.
