They're extremely reliable. Good quality.

The job done by them was expensive. It was more than $5000. I loved some of the work that they did. They gave me this hydrangea tree that I am crazy about. They planted some trees which have died. However, I never went after them to say that something needs to be done about the trees. Some of the things that they planted didn’t last, even for the first season. They probably would have replaced them but I didn’t go back to them since I was very busy at that time. I think they do a very thorough job. I think they did a great job for us in terms of the whole layout and design. We were going to do it in stages, which was also nice because I didn’t want to put this huge outlay in one chunk. So they did the stage 1 and I got involved with some other things for stage 2. So I never went back to them in the next year to have the next element done. Their design service is great. Scott was the guy I worked with and he was just wonderful. I would use their services in the future too.

They are definitely a high end company. I am mostly satisfied with the services provided. My only negative was that their maintenance contract was extremely expensive. I opted not to use them for the follow up. A few of the plants chosen seem to not be in proportion to the area they're in. Though, the overall look of the landscaping followed our specifications. The quality of the materials was high and we did choose to go with a higher priced business. They're in the same price range as other high end landscapers in the area. As a whole, I felt they were a good company to work with and the design of the project turned out beautifully.

Everything was great. We were very satisfied with the services.

My experience with them was good, not great. I felt like my landscape planner could've been just a little bet better, but the workers that came out were great.

Dave Van Zelst provided our initial landscaping advice eight years ago, when we bought and renovated our house and property of almost an acre. He provided us with a landscaping plan that we have been gradually implementing over the years. Dave has been excellent with providing advice and services over the years. This time we added three sections, modifying the initial plan to provide more color. In addition, while I use another company for weekly maintenance, Dave gives advice as to lawn care and in this case was able to add some organic materials to help with some of the weeds in the lawn. I don't care for using chemicals and Dave was honest in saying that he has yet to find many organic products that can do the job, but this one seems somewhat effective against clover (malarganite). Van Zelst is expensive, but I find that the quality is worth it.

VERY GOOD
