Guys showed up promptly and worked hard to waterproof the front of our house.  We have had many large rainstorms and water issues since and have not had any water.  Basement was completely finished and we are pleased to be dry.

The foundation of our house is 100+ years old and made of large stone blocks.  As such, it has developed some cracks to the point that with heavy rains, we were getting consistent seepage into our basement.  With this type of a foundation, only external waterproofing is an option.  ULB-Dry came an gave a quote that while a substantial amount of money, was a good value given the amount of work involved.  In particular, the excavation was difficult as it is in a gangway between our house and the neighbors, preventing any mechanical digging.  The entire excavation was done manually, with the dirt and sediment carried out by hand to a trailer parked in the street.  The ground was not easy to dig, as it was all clay soil.  Stoyan and the ULB-Dry team put in a LOT of work to get the foundation dug out (60 liner feet and 2-3 feet deep and wide).  This work alone was worth the money.  They then did all the waterproofing work (patching cracks, sealing, membrane, drain tile, etc.).  They were also able to accommodate a last-minute request to install foam core insulation.  The drain tile was routed to an existing sump pump.  However, it was discovered that the pit was not deep enough to accommodate the pitch of the pipe.  Stoyan and team dug out the pit to the required depth and made all the connections - a lot of additional and unexpected work.  After everything was completed, they manually carried back all the dirt and soil to backfill the excavated area.
We have now had the new drain tile and waterproofing in place for 2 months, and have had some fair amounts of rain during this time.  Most recently, 2-3 inches of rain fell overnight and  flooded the alley behind our garage.  However, we have not had any water or seepage in the basement.  Had ULB-Dry not done the waterproofing, this would not have been the case.  All the work and cost was worth it for the peace of mind we now have.

Stoyan returned my call the Friday I had left a message and came to check out my problem on Monday morning.  He worked with a hose for over an hour to determine the cause of the seepage I was having in a difficult-to-get-to place in the basement - paneling covered the wall and heavy bookcases were built on the wall that divided this office space from the utility area.  A crack that was visible from the exterior had been diagnosed as the culprit by another estimator (turns out that was at the other end of the office and had been corrected from the interior several years ago).  After much hosing and checking walls on both side of the divider, it was determined that the water was running in from the window well via a plexiglass-covered window, down behind the paneling, and running under that wall where the floor sloped toward the sump pump and, farther on, the drain.  He recommended replacing and sealing the window well as well as removing any debris and checking the draining into the existing tile, covering that area with stone and affixing a cover that we did not have.  I also decided to have the other 3 basement window wells cleaned  and checked and stone added along with covers for those windows.  Stoyan called later that day to say that the materials were available and scheduled the installation for 2 days later - they arrived promptly and worked all morning, first having to remove a bush that was blocking their progress (that had been anticipated) and very professionally did their work and cleaned up nicely.
How glad I was to get this second opinion and not had structural repairs made and paid for that I did not need!

The owner Walter came to my house and gave me an estimate for the epoxy crack repair and chimney patch work.  He also explained to me that he will perform a water leakage test in two spots on my north wall that has had seepage in recent history.  This testing would be done at the same time as the crack repair.

Walter arrived promptly as scheduled to perform the crack and chimney repair.  The seepage testing was done at the same time, and demonstrated where the water was seeping in.  One location was lower in the foundation and one was over the spillover. Thus he gave me a  price for an exterior barrier - one 8 foot across and 4 feet down, and another 12 feet across and one foot down.

This exterior foundation work was done at a later date by a  3 man crew led by Petar, who was very polite and professional.   The work was stopped by the city of Berwyn due to no permit, while this type of exterior work never needed a permit in the past.  Anyway, they handled the permit requirements and came back on another day to finish the work.

I am very happy with the work and would highly recommend this company.

Highly professional, competent and honest provider. Stoyan, one of the owners and crew leader, is truly an outstanding professional. I cannot say enough about him and his crew for their outstanding work. Patiently answered many questions from me and provided guidance and suggestions. He never tried to upsell and in fact tried to provide the most economical solution first for every issue in response to my request for "Cadillac" solutions. The waterproofing industry is dominated by companies that place marketing and up selling over honesty and customer service and need. These guys may not be as big or well known as those with radio jingles or newspaper ads. But, they do far better work. They are not necessarily cheaper than the big companies but do work that is truly needed rather than tacking on extras that customers don't need. Highly recommended.

He was very honest and the guys who id the work were quick, clean and they just did their job and got out, it was pretty easy, they were swift. He did not try to give me any run a rounds, he was only trying to fix what needed to be fixed, they did not want to do what was not really necessary and make a big bill out of it.

I am very impressed with ULB-Dry waterproofing.   They are absolutely the best.  The owner Walter came out to my house twice to do estimates on the work that needed to be done.  He was patient and took his time in looking at what needed to be done and explaining my options.  Walter is a great guy and I can tell he cares about doing the job right the first time.

7/5/14 - Peter came to my house and buried the sump pump pipe himself in on day. He was personable and friendly.  The reason he was so quick in burying the pipe was that he knew exactly what to do.  He is a perfectionist and did everything the way he was supposed to without cutting any corners. When Walter was at my house to look at Peter's work he looked at my sump pump and volunteered to do some extra work straightening out the sump pump pipes at no cost.  I don't think any other company would do that.

8/6/14 - Stoyan and Kyle also did an excellent job installing and connecting my window well to the sump pump.  The two of them did the job quickly in 2 1/2 hours because they knew exactly what to do.  Stoyan is also a perfectionist and only wanted to do the job the right way.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the communication, and work ULB dry did at my house.  I recommend them to anyone who has waterproofing issues.

A dry basement and a very happy customer!   I have had seepage in my basement for 20 years. I finally decided to install interior drain tiles and a sump pump.
I contacted Walt through Angies list and received a call back in less than an hour on a Saturday night!. He came out to give me a price for a drain tile system, which was in line with a few other bids I had gotten. He was very thourough and really took the time to investigate the source of the water and not just rush into an expensive system.  He even went on the roof to see if there were issues elsewhere. Of all the people I met for this project, he was my first choice!
I hired him to start shortly after and he crew was amazing. They were super organized and took great care when coming in and out of the house with equipment.
It is important to note that due to NO fault on the part of ULB-DRY it was not possible to install the drain tiles in my basement.
The concrete floor had so much rebar and so many caissons that after many, many, many hours of cutting and sawing they could not get through the floor. It was a complete mess and they cleaned up so well...you wouldn't have known they were there!
They did, however, find and fill five deep foundation cracks.  We have had several rain storms since they were here in June and I have not gotten a drop of water.
I would recommend Walt, Stoyan and the crew to anyone with water issues.

The crew of two showed up right at 8 am as promised. Soyan and Kyle went about verifying the work to be done for each window and then went to work. It was a full day job with travel and they finished around 2:30 pm. They removed a full bush and all existing stone/patio brick that was used for previous wells. They refilled all outer holes with stone and dirt, put an atrium drain atop each external drain pipe and cemented all floor holes inside.
In addition, I discovered that the internal drain done by another firm was done poorly, causing my original pit and pump to take most of the runoff water for the last few years. Soyan was honest and said it wasn't worth fixing at this point, but if issue arose to contact the other company and use the warranty to leverage correction.
While unhappy with that discovery, I was impressed with the candor and professionalism of this crew. I was also impressed with how little clean up I have to do over the next day or two after the concrete dries inside.
Maintenance was explained for the drains as an annual vacuuming out of each pipe, especially in autumn when debris is most likely to accumulate.
I would definitely recommend this company.

They did an excellent job because since then I have not had any leaks in those areas of the basement. They came up and did that job in one day. They were very professional. I thought they knew what they were doing. They were just excellent in that respect. They were the best. I can't say enough about those people. They are very responsive and the price is right and I'm happy with their work.

We are selling our home and have never had a drop of water until this past weekend of heavy rains.  There was only very minor
dripping, but I was beside myself.  I researched many water proofing companies on angies list and in our area. Based on the many wonderful reviews about ULB Dry, their integrity, professionalism and resourcefulness  - not to mention, A 10 yr WARRANTY, I contacted the company on the weekend of course... appealing to them to come ASAP - only had a matter of days before the sale was to take place.
I sent Walter pics via angies email and he calmed me down and indicated that the problem was minor and he could take care of it.
He was booked solid (we had incredible storms remember) - I told him that I would make myself available, pay ot if necessary...
Long story short - he said he would squeeze me in if he could call me when timing allowed -- that's exactly what he did.  He came yesterday to evaluate the situation first hand and propose the solution.  He again squeezed me in today to perform the job.
Walter was thorough, explained everything about how this type of seepage happens and is fixed.  He was very professional and left the area neat and clean.
I am relieved and feel confident that we have done the right thing with the right company.
Thank you Walter!

We had a crack in a basement wall where water would come through during heavy rain. I was anticipating a major flood when the snow melts. I had hesitated getting it fixed as I was afraid it would be a major, expensive repair. Walt came out and told me the crack could be fixed from the inside by filling it with epoxy, and that it would be guaranteed for 10 years. Someone told me to be careful because one of the "tricks" used by some waterproofers is that they pump the epoxy in and then charge you extra based on how much epoxy is used. There was none of that with Walt. After coming to my house on a Friday to look at the crack and tell me what he would do, he came the following Wednesday and took care of the work. The estimate was for $350, minus 10% for Angie's List members.

Great service. They came on time, they did everything that they told us . Stoqn was very clear about the situation and what needed to be done.  They came as a crew and did the job as quickly   as possible. No dust or garbage were left behind.  Now  we are considering to use  Ulb-Dry Waterproofing Inc to install drain tiles in the basement.

He was here yesterday to look at two places I was worried about.  He informed me that it wasn't necessary to do any work now.  He'll never try to sell you anything you don't need, and he's very creative.  His work is exceptional.  In a world where it's so hard to find someone to trust, you can have absolute confidence in him.  If for some reason he is unable to perform the work, he'll tell you that too. He answers his cell phone immediately.
