This morning I brought in the crystal plate pieces I mentioned above. The owner gave me a quote and I left. John was able to carefully remove the old glue and professionally re-glue the pieces of the plate back together. Not only does it look great and feel solid, he did this all in one day! I got a call in the afternoon that it was already finished. Apparently he reserves Tuesdays for walk-in customers' work.
For the amount of time it took to carefully chip away the old glue and then redo the repair, I felt the price was fair. The turn-around time was a WOW!
