I was a bit naive when the job was completed in 2015. After 11,000 dollars I can say it was the single worst use of money on my house. Although the garage is sound, he installed (his son for the most part actually) new siding on the garage and it's just not complete. No Caulking, not properly nailed down or secured. Scott told me several times if I ever wasn't happy with something to give him a call. I've tried reaching him now since June with no response about putting some nails and caulk to finish the siding job. Other pros who did the roof and some other work all questioned who repaired the garage and ask me if I did it myself. Not a good sign.

Scott everything went very well. It's a small outfit, so Scott himself shows up along with one or two other people. Scott is very responsive, friendly, and professional. We've been consistently happy with the work he has done and continue to rely on him for projects large and small.

It went really well,  Scott was organized and easy to work with.  He hoped to be done by Thanksgiving and it was.  He handled changes without any problems. We couldn't be happier with our kitchen.  And when we had any questions, after the job was done, Scott showed up quickly to make sure everything was correct.

Scott and his team finished our basement this past winter - framing, drywall, hvac, electrical work, window replacement, trim/doors, etc.. We appreciated his ability to work well with the town and its permitting/inspection department. He did a great job of walking us through options and giving us guidance on the best options for the project. We had a baby early on in the project and the work was not disruptive, even with a newborn in the house - they kept things neat and clean and noise was at a minimum. He was willing to address any concerns we had along the way and at the end of the project he made sure that any last details that needed attention/adjustment were taken care of. We're very happy with how the project turned out and are enjoying the extra space in our house.

Couldn't have asked for better. Scott responded to our service request promptly yesterday (after another provider bailed at the very last minute and left us in the lurch, even though we'd set up an appointment last week), and he and his son showed up on time today, were very courteous, friendly and ready to work, asked the right questions, knew what they were doing and were done in no time. The shutters look fantastic. They cleaned up after themselves and left no mess. Based on that experience, we requested an estimate for additional indoor remodeling on the spot. We look forward to doing business with them again very soon!

I had used Complete Home Repair a few months ago to repair water damage to my family room from poor construction of prior owners.  I was pleased with Scott's work enough that I asked him to help me upgrade the electricity at my Downers Grove business.  I had a small window to get this work done as I had to have the electric in place by a certain date.  I was extremely happy that Scott and his electricians were able to meet my deadline.  It's been a few weeks and everything is working as needed.
Scott is very good at explaining the work that needs to be done and giving you options.  I picked his brain on a number of home improvement projects and I was very happy to get his professional advice.   I have a list of handy-man things that I need done.  I have added Scott's number in my phone's contact list.

This was approximately a 3 week job that included removal of wall paper from plaster walls,(and we were very happy that no
plaster came down with the paper, as it saved on time and extra repair).  The ceilings and walls in living room, dining room and hall were painted and crown molding was installed.  We also had   2 new ceiling lights installed plus a dimmer switch for these and a replacement dimmer switch in dining room, plus all new outlets, and new switches in both rooms and hallway,  5 new solid filled doors, (bedrooms, bath and 2 closets) painted and all new hardware,  carpet and padding removed so squeaky floors could be fixed, old base boards removed and new painted ones installed, plus  11 pictures were hung.    They also removed and installed 2 new bedroom windows.  Everything was hauled away by them, wall paper, carpet, etc. etc.
Scott was very quick to respond to both e-mails and phone calls right from the beginning,  listened carefully to things I relayed to him from an interior decorator that I needed for help, (as I am not very talented with color or design in any way, shape or form).  Anyway, he  also had good suggestions, was patient and has a really good attitude.  The other guys were great guys too,  good attitudes and they all worked well as a team.

It went great. Keep in mind, this was done during our last horrible winter and Scott himself worked with his small and dedicated team to do this even with the crazy low temps outside. He was clean and as quite as possible (we have two little ones); and even with the crazy weather they were able to get things done within a week of the estimated time (which I was impressed with as the weather itself caused uncontrollable delays with drying, etc).
Of note; we also had Scott and the team due a tub installation in the upstairs bathroom for a great deal. The price was excellent and he was able to do an amazing job cutting out tile and not damaging and replacing. Took the extra time and effort to get a tough job done right and for a reasonable budget.
Down to earth, great to work with, would definitely use for many contracting issues.

They removed all the drywall (ceiling and wall) that had been damaged, inspected the rafters, removed the old dishwasher that had caused the problem, inspected the flooring in the kitchen to assure that there was no damage there (there was not - the leak was recent), installed the new dishwasher (Scott even went and picked it up for us!!!), repaired all the drywall, matched a rather difficult paint color exactly and repainted everything that needed painting or touch-up. On bringing in the drywall, they nicked the wall coming down the stairs and even patched/repainted that to perfection. The work was done on schedule, we had no issues and he even came back to check the painting after a few days and did a little more touch-up. With all the drywall work and its associated sanding, we had NO DUST in the rest of the house - it was contained to just the media room and they did a great job cleaning up after the project was completed. After they left, we had the room ready for potential buyer showings within a couple of hours!
Our real estate agent came by to look at the work and was so impressed she asked for the contractor's contact information. He and his team are wonderful, respectful of your property and sincerely dedicated to doing the job well.

I could not be happier with the work done by Complete Home Repair. When I called to schedule an appointment for an estimate Scott, the owner, answered and was very pleasant to talk to. He came to our house the next day to look at the house and the areas I had described. We were not home at the time but he called us that evening to talk about what he had seen. He addressed the areas I had mentioned but he also mentioned some other items which he thought might need some attention. I felt no pressure to agree to what he suggested but I very much appreciated his comments because I was not aware of some of the issues. Within a day he had supplied me with a written contract and he met with me to go over the contract and the work to be done.
Scott and the two men who worked with him arrived when they said they would. They worked efficiently to complete the work and were done that same day. They were careful with their work and they did an excellent job of installing the new wood and painting. I really appreciated the fact that the wood which was replaced near the roof line was painted on the ground prior to installation to avoid getting paint on the roof. I also appreciated the fact that Scott painted much more of the soffit than he would have had to, or that we had agreed on, simply because he did not want the new paint to be so obviously whiter than areas not painted.
I thoroughly enjoyed working with Scott. It is such a pleasure to work with someone so careful about their work and who does what they said they will do and more. I will definitely be calling on Scott again and will not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who asks.

Owner came out and gave us an estimate, start date and nature of his repair to our deck. He was professional, courteous and fair. He gave a and quot;start-endand quot; date and said he would probably be out earlier-which he was. The job was done exactly how we wanted. I would definitely use Complete Home Repair again for jobs around my house

I contacted Scott on a Tuesday about a window I needed fixed before I could close on my house. He came over on Wednesday to measure the window and replaced the window on Thursday. He and his partner were very professional and personable, and managed to squeeze me despite their busy schedule and pending vacation. I am very happy with their work and will definitely use them again. Thanks, guys!

Scott was very responsive and came out the same day I called. He was fair and very professional. I am planning on calling him to bid any home repairs I have in the future.

I am handicapped and need a bench built into my shower stall. They measured and got it exactly right for my height
and comfort.
Needed a new vanity and could not fine the size and or color I wanted. Scott Patterson found the right size and painted it to the color I wanted. Also found the exact color granite counter top I wanted.
The really listen to what your wants and need are.
Very clean workers and professional in each and every detail.
Have used them before and will sure use them again for any and all work I need in my home.

About two years agoi at 6 A.M. we found out our basement flooded.
I remembered a business card from a company in our village.
Called the gentleman, and he showed up about 20 min. late with a water
pump and got to work. Called one of his guys and 10 hours later they stopped for the day.
Well to make a long story short, he and his crew fixed our basement to the amazing rooms
we have today.
Scott Patterson and his crew have been back to my home two more times since.
One to put a copper celling in our front room. It is amazing, and something I wanted
for years.
The will be back this year to do our upstairs bathroom.
Great work ethics, clean, and always a man of his word.I would recomment this
company to any and all. They know what they are doing and do it well.

Contractor showed up right on time. Work was completed in 4-5 hours, and the quality of work was very good. The workers were courteous and hardworking.
