MJR Remodeling
About us
MJR Remodeling is a small, full-service remodeling business designed to handle the needs of homeowners with a personal touch. We strive to exceed the expectations of our clients and show them that not all contractors are the same. No job is too small, because you never know when the smallest job will forge a relationship with a client that will lead to larger projects. The majority of our work centers around bathroom remodeling and tiling, but we do a fair amount of kitchen remodeling, painting, and drywall. We do all forms of carpentry, as well as building custom cabinetry such as bench seats, shelving, or built-ins.

"[Member Name Removed], Thank you for the review and the kind words. It was a pleasure working with you. Mark"
"There were some issues with the drywall and painting being done right the first time by my employee. The customer was very unprofessional and would call me up yelling at me before I had inspected the work or billed them. I made sure the job was finished to their satisfaction and they still withheld money."
Although we had a slow start during the proposal stage, Mark came through as a superb professional and skillful carpenter during the actual project. He is knowledgeable and resourceful. The doors he built, fit perfectly. The quality of Mark's craftmanship is high. He ensured that the doors were perfectly installed, lining up in places. These are rail and stile recessed panel doors with full overlay hinges that he builed. Nobody would be able to guess that they were not the original piece because Mark did a good job matching the wood to the main unit. I noted that he built the doors in his workshop instead of hoping to have a space to do it in my place. He polished them with lacquer before bringing the doors to my place.
He also thought of a new way of attaching the shelves by using shelf pins. In the end, my piece of furniture looks better than it looked when the glass doors were installed in the original unit.
In addition to fixing the doors, he also applied a coat of poly to the cabinet and bed frame.
Mark is punctual and organized: He shows up on time, brings all of his tools and materials, and cleans after with a vacuum cleaner.
He finished the project within the timeframe he had identified. He was efficient.
He is quick and dexterous. When faced with unexpected complications, he has knowledge to come up with a solution.
He is also responsive when you e-mail or text him.
Mark is also personable and is attentive to what you want out of the project. I am detail-oriented myself and was glad to find this in a carpenter. Attention to details and perfectionism in carpenting are key, in my opinion.
I found out that he does remodeling. Because I have a project in the bathroom, I asked him to take a look. He had good ideas about how to fix that also. And I am considering hiring him for that project.
