This company is first-class! We gave them short notice for a move of personal belongings from Chicago, IL to Boulder, CO. Michael visited, prepared an estimate and the goods were packed and shipped without a hitch. There were several pieces of fine artwork and precious memorabilia. Michael listened to our concerns and assured us that the items would be carefully packed and delivered unharmed - and they were! MicroShip is professional, prompt, responsive and caring. Plus, they are genuinely NICE! We highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again.

I was very concerned about this move, but this company turned out to be wonderful and paid for some damage that they had no obligation to pay for. The estimate was right on, times given were adhered to. Furniture and art was wrapped expertly and workers were friendly and knowledgeable. Communication with the office staff was also professional and friendly and helpful as I had many questions. the move went well, but 3 weeks after delivery the wood on a table began to crack. I had signed off that there was no damage, but contacted them once cracks appeared. The furniture had a lifetime guarantee but the manufacturer said it was not their problem. In the end Microship did provide some funding for the damage even though they had no obligation to do so. I was very impressed and will use them again.

Two very polite gentlemen showed up at the scheduled time (more or less due to traffic) and place, and wrapped each item in a mover's blanket and carried them out to their truck. All items were individually numbered and signed for. On the appointed day another team of gentlemen called to let me know that they had arrived in town (1200 miles away) and when they would deliver the furniture. They assembled the table which I had taken apart, so it wasn't really their problem, and disassembled my old dinning table for us. All pieces arrived in the same condition as they left. I couldn't be more pleased with the service.

They kinda specialize in small moves. This would have been the fourth time that we used them. In the past six years both my mother and my father have passed away or we've had situations where we need to move furniture around from one place to another and MicroShip does that kind of thing and they do it very well. My sister moved to Durham and she used them.
This time what I had to do was pack up a bunch of small items, collectables and that kind of thing and a little bit of furniture and move it into a private storage bin. It was a full day of work with them. They charge by the hour, as most movers did. There were three guys. They packed and then they loaded the truck and then they took it from Barrington into Evenston and then unloaded into a public storage unit.
I did call around and get estimates and they were one of the lower ones. The estimates for the service really varied.

I received a call the evening before letting me know they would come the next day to pick up the sofas in preparation for delivery to my son's apartment in Minneapolis. I could set the time in the morning. They movers were punctual,  efficient, and professional. The sofas were wrapped in plastic wrap. After they had wrapped the sofas and put them in the truck, I handed  the man in charge  a check and signed the receipt. He gave me a copy. After they left and I looked at the receipt carefully, I noticed the codes written on the receipt indicated the sofas were stained, soiled, and scratched. These were almost new sofas I had stored in the basement for my son. Why would I spend $650 to ship old stained, soiled and scratched furniture?I realized this was done in case THEY damaged the sofas. Probably a company rule.  At this point I was worried because no contract had been sent to me. So at this point they had my money and my sofas, and I had no contract. All I could do was just hope they would come through. Christmas holiday intervened and after Christmas I called to let them know my son would now be available to receive the sofas. "And by the way, where's my contract?" I asked. I was told I would be emailed one. Didn't happen. Eventually the sofas were delivered in good shape, but I had to call them several times to ask where the sofas were at that point. Not once did they follow through with a contract.
I would not use them again. Their operation is way too informal and caused unnecessary stress. The C grade for professionalism is for the office staff and the owners, not the movers. They movers deserve an A.

My mother was doing some downsizing and she wanted to give me some of her furniture, artwork and other items. MicroShip picked up the items in Minnesota and packed them beautifully, according to my brother, who was on the scene. They delivered them in New Jersey, arriving right on time and carefully bringing the items into my house. I wasn't sure the sofa bed would make it through the door, but they managed to get it done. Some, but not all, of the items were antiques. They were treated with tender loving care.
I'm very happy with the work they did for me at a very reasonable price.

I first contacted Rob at Micro Ship and gave a description of the items I needed transported to Tennessee.  He gave me a quick quote and set up a date for pick up.  His team arrived at the date set and wrapped everything perfectly.  I was told he would call a few days before delivery and expect delivery in mid June.  He did not call a few days before but his driver called the night before to tell us of their expected time of delivery.  It was ok with us as we were going to be home that day.  The driver ran into some unexpected delivery  problems and was later than orginnally scheduled but he called and kept us informed on the changes.  The guys who delivered my furniture were extremely nice and professional.  Everything arrived in the same condition it left.  I had a lot of concerns about moving these family pieces but I have to say everything worked out great.

lWe had our 2 bedroom house hold goods shipped from Illinois to Florida.  Pick-up of goods was perfect, but receiving our goods was the opposite.  The driver kept pushing our receiving time back by day and half.  Our goods were crushed in plan terms.  Several of our plastic boxes were broken, clothing boxes were crushed in half.  One of our tables was broken and completely scraped up.  I called the company to tell them the service not wanting money, just to inform them.  I paid $1500 for 1500lbs of goods, but never found out if my goods weighed 1500lbs.  I would never use this company again.

The company advertises delivery from 2-21 business days. After pickup of my goods, I was informed that delivery would likely occur within 3 days. Multiple phone calls to inquire over the next 3 weeks resulted in no response. At 26 business days, I received a voice mail from Rob Kaye saying that the items had shipped and would deliver the following day. Nothing happened. There were no responses to emails or phone calls. Finally the shipment was delivered at 36 business days after pickup, nearly 2 months. This is a clear case of a failure of customer service. A report to the BBB resulted in a response from the company stating "no time guarantees WHATSOEVER were stated." They clearly missed the point that beyond the massive delay for absolutely no reason ever provided, the larger issue at hand is one of timely and responsive CUSTOMER SERVICE.
