They did an excellent with all aspects of this job. From the detailed quote, job started and finished on time, quality of the work, keeping the area clean and were so helpful explaining what needed to be done to repair and remake the retaining wall next to my driveway. They even seeded the area next to the wall and explained the best time to water it. They also completely installed proper drainage below/behind the wall. Quality work for a reasonable price, I am very pleased!

We could not have been happier with H.M. Staggers! We found them to be extremely professional, capable, smart, fair priced, and all around nice to have around. Water was seeping into our cantilevered bay window that was surrounded by raised brick planter boxes. sitting four feet above the ground. The job demanded a “think outside the box” approach as this project had many layers. Henry devised a plan that included more than tuckpointing and repairing the brick walls. Working from the inside of the planter boxes out, insulation that included layers of materials previously absent were added, Cement, wood, stones and dirt on top. The brick was mortared and waterproofed and drainage holes were added. The estimate came back quickly; the crew was on time; completion of the work was done earlier than expected. Our yard was left in clean condition and Henry’s team found places for the extra dirt and gravel, eliminating the need for hauling away and paying for disposal of material.

Henry and Dennis did a nice job in tuck-pointing my front facia brick as well and re-caulking the garage door molding next to the brick. They were professional and did a great job matching the mortar color. Overall, looks good. Time will tell how it holds up. I appreciate that Henry was the one that pointed out the need to re-caulk the molding. I knew that was needed, but it never occurred for me to ask for that work as part of the tuck-pointing job. Itâ s great to have that done and Henry assures me the material they used will last a very long time and wonâ t crack. As for value, it was a small job and I know most tuck-pointing guys donâ t want to do the work for less than a minimum - which I understand.

HM Staggers was exactly what we were looking for to get our chimney evaluated. Henry has an artisanâ s eye and a passion for his craft, and that is evident in the way he and his team go about their business. Work was completed in the time estimated for the cost quoted. Color match of our bricks, and the are given to the job resulted in a refurbished chimney that looks like it has always existed and has aged along with our home. They also took the time to update us on progress, answer questions, and provide options and rationale for their suggestions.
