Excellent work! The table has a parquet top that was damaged from every day use. The chairs were sticky. Fred picked up table and chairs and returned them - restored them to perfection. They look like new. The price was very fair, based on other estimates.

They look fabulous! They are very knowledgeable because we asked them about some other pieces. Their pricing seemed to be very fair. They are willing to answer questions, which is nice.

I wanted the table to have a somewhat distressed look to match some chairs. They did a nice job. I had them refinish and repair an antique linen press a few years ago, which also turned out great.

There was a small scratch of some sort on my antique chair and I called this guy and he fixed it up for me.  He did such a nice job that I called him to fix to get some work done on my dining table and he did a nice job on that too.  The pedestal was loose on the dining table so he actually took it with him.  He repaired the pedestal brought it back and reinstalled it on the table.  If I need him I will use him again.  I just needed somebody to do the job, I found him and he did a good job.

Instead of buying a new table and chairs, we decided to have our current table repaired and refinished.  The table and chairs are like new.  Fred put a coating on the table and chairs and they are now water repellent... so really, better than new.  He also added new sliders to the bottom of the chairs so they do not scratch the floor.  It took a little extra time to get the table back; however, Fred kept in touch.  Worth the wait.

I called Fred again in Feb 2014 to repair drawer he installed in the table (it was not extending fully).   He made an appointment with me for the following week but didn't show up.   I called him an hour after appointment time (10 am) and he said he didn't remember making the appointment but said he'd come out on his way to another appointment.    He did show up and repair the drawer  (took only a few minutes).    At that time I asked if he refinished kitchen cabinets and he said he does do that kind of work.  He suggested I call later to make an appointment for an estimate for the cabinets.   

I made an appointment about a week later and he never showed up nor did he answer his phone when I called within an hour of the appointment.    Giving him the benefit of the doubt (again) as I recall I called the next day with no response that day either  (or ever for that matter).    He's a pleasant, very competent refinisher but recently does not answer phone calls or return messages.  

I can only think he just doesn't want to refinish kitchen cabinets.    Sorry that he never called back as his work is quite excellent

It went very well, they were on time very professional and did an excellent job.  They went above and beyond to fix the items to original standards.  Very pleased!

We were really happy with his work and we plan to use him again over the next year or so to refinish some additional pieces. My mom also used Fred to refinish her dining room table and she really raved about the work he did.

Fred was on time came over and gave me an estimate.  He took the table and bed rails with him back to his shop.  The table came back beautiful and the bed rails were fixed.  Excellent communication and a fair price.  I would use him again and he has very high quality work!!!  He is a true craftsman.

Work was done well in general one piece was better than the other.
Little trouble with scheduling and punctuality. Fred did have a family emergency during the process and had to be away from his work for a few days, but upon his return he missed his first delivery schedule. When he did arrive he was friendly and professional. Despite minor flaws I would use him again.

Called Fred, dropped off table, told me a price, fixed the table, charged me the price quoted even though the job was harder than expected.
Good service and fair business practice.

Fred came to my house, examined the antique lady's writing desk and gave me a very reasonable price.  He took the desk with him and promised to have it refinished in 4 weeks.  He just delivered it this morning, on time, and it's even better than I had expected.  I will definitely use his services again.  Fred knows his craft very well and it was a pleasure doing business with him!

I do not know if they do fine furnishings. I could not get anyone to even come out. He came out. I did not think that he over charged me. Everybody else wanted a lot more. It took him a couple of days to call me back and then he came out that afternoon. He was very honest with me. He attached the leg, and then he came back the next morning, took the vice off of it, and fixed a scratch on it. I thought it was very good. I would use him again.

I was very pleased with the entire process.  I had originally asked for an estimate to refinish the top only, which was $ 300.  When I dropped the table off, Fred said he could refinish the whole table for $400.  The estimated time to do the work was two weeks, and it was finished in just under that.  Fred did a fantastic job on the table.  It looks like new.

Overall, I was very pleased and happy to work with Fred, who was very knowledgable and helpful in
restoring my furniture.  I plan to have him work on a few more pieces in the near future.

Fred came to my house within an hour after my phone call and gave me the quote and took away the desk.  He brought it back in probably 4 weeks just as promised.  The desk was totally re-built and refinished more beautifully than I ever saw it in my lifetime.  Really nice guy, very personable and may have charged more than I wanted to pay, but the finished product has the wood grain brought out more than I ever knew was possible.

Fred's work was excellent and the price was very reasonable.  Highly recommend.  Timely pickup, promised to have completed by Thanksgiving and delivered on time.

Fred said it would take about 2 weeks and it did.  He managed to remove the extra stuff on it without resorting to  using veneer to cover up the defects.  The piece looks beautiful, and finally lives up to our expectations of how we initially envisioned it.
