Beware of this company. I had Jonathan come out to provide me with a verbal report on the condition of some termite damage in my basement. With each visit, he wanted more drywall removed and exacerbated the perceived severity of the situation. I soon realized that he was more problem focused than solutions oriented. I decided that I would prefer to look elsewhere for services to mitigate my issue, and effectively terminated our contract. Jonathan, without my knowledge and with what I perceive to be malicious intent, then sent his partially complete report to the Village reporting my property. Half the report was guesswork as to the extent of the damage as they were about areas that he was not even able to visually inspect. The village, after reading the report, became spooked and are asking for more than I and my professionals agree is necessary to mitigate the safety risk. Needless to say, I will never again use his services and I strongly advise that others be wary as well.

When our remodel permit was delayed by our village we were required to get an analysis by a licensed structural engineer. In the middle of the summer remodeling season, it was difficult to find anyone immediately available. We received a reference for Jonathan and his business, Enginkeering. Most importantly he was available immediately and came out the next day. It took him a week to deliver the material. Subsequently our permit was approved. Jonathan was quick, thorough, and professional offering us two potential pricing options. We chose the more expensive one to give us greater confidence in a favorable outcome which we received.

In one word - excellent. Engikeering was immediately responsive, professional, thorough and clear in the description of what would and wouldn't be covered for us in a structural engineer inspection. The visit was the same. We appreciated the close attention to detail and the thorough readout on the house after inspection and within the well written report as well. We definitely recommend contacting Engikeering if you are in need of a structural engineer.

Jonathan worked in a conscientious manner taking all the time needed to assess the various cracks in my foundation and upstairs walls. His report was timely and thorough. He provided his opinion as to cause and if remediation should be taken. If remediation was needed, he stated exactly what should be done to alleviate the problem. He immediately answered all of my follow up questions. If you have a structural issue, I highly recommend using Jonathan to tell you what you need to know prior to contracting with a "fix it" company.

My husband and I had a few waterproofing companies come out to look at a crack we have in our foundation. Each quote/design was completely different and estimates ranging from $5k to $41k. Huge range! We interviewed a few Structural Engineers to see if it would be beneficial for us to pay for a Structural Report to help us determine which waterproofing company to go with. Jonathan was the only SE that we interviewed that had a positive perspective on this situation. All others used scare tactics and worst case scenarios. We hired Jonathan to come to the house to complete a Structural Observation. It was the best $600 we have ever spent! He was at the house for 4 hours and inspected every inch of the house. He also sat down with my husband and I to explain everything in laymen terms. We found out that we do not even need to fix the structure. There are a few repairs that are needed but nothing like what the waterproofing companies had suggested. Jonathan sent us a very thorough report with photos and his design. I then had follow up questions which he responded to within 24 hours. I had more follow up questions that again responded with in 24 hours. We are extremely please with Jonathan and highly recommend him!

Jonathan worked with the contractor and the job was finished to the highest structural and construction standards. Will definitely work with Jonathan on any future projects as we will want them done correctly.

Jonathan was fantastic. He was on time, extremely thorough, and knowledgeable. He had to squeeze into a tiny space underneath some stairs, through a bunch of the occupant's junk in order to get an accurate reading on a staircase--he did so without a flinch. He sent a detailed report two days after the inspection and even included some drawings about how we could add nails to increase the stability of the staircase.
