called for an estimate about march 2010 he came and estimated the job for 300$ and said this was a high estimate. he said 300$ or less more than likely less would get the job done correctly with hole fixed, ice dam, tar paper and shingles. I gave him the ok to start the job as soon as possible since the roof was leaking and after 3 months of him not coming to do it or calling I contacted him. When he came to do it he brought help, the hole was right off of the roof from an upstairs patio with outside stairs leading to it and no need for a ladder. he did the job half way, he told me that the rest of the roof needed replaced pretty soon so suggested not putting shingles on it just leaving it with tar paper and a sheet of ice dam. The job took him approximately 2 and a half hours. After wards I received a bill for 391$. I priced the materials at around 70$ from where he purchased them from. I then had another estimate done for the exact job that he did and that estimate came to 145$ I contacted Brian Major and asked him why almost double the cost for half the job and he responded "there was unforseen problems, and I have a business and have to pay my employees".
