Great.  You just have to plan ahead because you generally can't get in to see them for a week or more.  But if you schedule things - it is all good.  They tend to be busy, probably because they have a large customer base.  Their work is excellent.

I only use then for tires. They no longer vibrate. They're wonderful. They know their tires and they're good to their customers. I deliberately take my vehicle there even if I'm out of town and I'm out of town a lot. Even if I have have to wait a month or two, I wait. I will suggest to go to them. They do a good job and he's reasonable. They have a lot of customers. They'll look it in but they won't bump anybody else. If you want somebody that's really good, you're going to wait. They say, if you being it and leave it, we'll work it in the day after tomorrow. If you want a definite appointment, its next week or even into the following. They keep you informed, they tell you what it is, they tell you if you have to wait until the next day and why you have to wait until the next day. I will absolutely use them again.

We have been using Peter B's for 16 years. Better more economical service than local dealerships. Honest, direct, fair, professional. We take our cars here after the dealership warranty expires. Never disappointed and the labor costs/hr are 25-50% lower than local car dealerships.

The fuel pump fell off and onto the timing chain of my 1987 (yes, 1987) van, a car which Peter has kept in repair for probably 15 years or more. Peter ALWAYS provides excellent repairs, has a good grasp of what alternatives can be done when repairs are not straight forward or are so excessively expensive they would be prohibitive. (This repair was one of many over the years...Peter has taken care of my cars for years, and is willing to give advice on the advisability of repair vs replacement (I tend to drive old cars...and although repairs seem expensive, when comparing what I have spent with Peter and what newer vehicles would have cost me, I am driving VERY inexpensively.)
Downside is that so many people know how good the shop is and rely on them that it sometimes takes a while to get an appointment. I have always been given the option of leaving the car and they will work it in if at all possible.
Cindy, who runs the office, is very efficient and friendly.

I was first given a estimate for this service by the local Ford Dealer of $1200.00 plus parts. It is my understanding that the Ford dealer simply replaces everything on the inspection list weather is needs it or not.
Peter B's staff was very familiar with my vehicle and told me that these items need inspection at the 60,000 miles but not necessarily replaced. This is how the total cost came down to only $201.41 total parts and labor. They also estimated when i should take another look at the items that were not ready to be changed at this time.
I have brought my cars to Peter for about 10+ years. I have found them refreshingly concerned about me and my maintenance costs. They have never charged me for work not required, even when I thought it was, and have always been up front and honest.
The have saved me a lot of money over the years and kept my cars in top condition.
If you are wondering why I was at the Ford Dealer instead of Peter's, it was because I needed and oil change and did not think ahead to get an appointment with Peter. The local Ford Dealer will change oil with out an appointment six days a week.

I had my car in a couple of times with Peter B's Automotive. The service is great. I had some noises going on in the car so I took it in and they were going to work it in and unfortunately, the day that they worked on it it was raining so the noises are noises you can hear when they're dry so they couldn't pick up the noises because of the heavy rain. They did the repairs that were obvious and some routine stuff that needed to be done. They found a problem with one of the shields and they fixed that, when I got the car back, one of the noises was better but apparently there was another shield that came lose also so when I was still hearing the noise, the woman in the office said "why don't you come in around this time today and Peter will go with a ride with you." The owner went on a test drive with me so he can hear the specific noises and within 5 minutes he knew exactly what the problems were so I took it back in and they got them fixed, everything was resolved. My car is 11 years old.

I went there 6 months ago. They know what they were doing officially. They give a lot of allowance to make me a diagnosis and I'm going there again.

We have taken our foreign made cars to Peter B's for 15 years, and prefer their auto service to any of the dealerships that we've used in town. The labor pricing is lower than at dealerships and the workmanship is always high quality. They always give us a detailed overview of the services needed and the quality of service is excellent.

He has always done an excellent job. His shop is immaculate. He has won a lot of awards. He is very personable, and good communication. He keeps up with what is going on. The only thing is I would prefer if he had shuttle service.

I thought his charges were accessive for not doing anything to my car. To add to the story, I had to have my car looked at for more issues within a few weeks and the other company fixed my car.

It turned out that nothing had to be done and it was just a bad light. They have done everything from total clutch replacement to fixing a timing chain that wrapped around the engine block. They also fixed the problem with the fan motor. They are great. If we call and ask a question, we actually get through to one of the mechanics in less than 5 minutes. They have a receptionist. It may take a while to get an appointment, but they will always tell us if we can bring the car and leave it. They will also tell us if they can work it in sooner than the actual appointment, so we have done that many times. There is also overnight drop and if we have an extra key and if we want to pick it up at night, they will do that too. They do a great job and their prices are not cheap, but not expensive.

Scheduled an appointment with Peter B's for an automobile inspection prior to completing a sale. They were very punctual, and completed the inspection on time. Inspection was very thorough, and in addition to giving me a written report, they showed me in person a few of their findings that they felt were important for me to see directly. They suggested some services that could be done, but were not pushy and didn't give me the impression that they were trying to get me to agree to some extra work that didn't need to be done.

It was suggested I use a rebuilt alternator. I did and it failed in about 18 months. I eventually had to buy a new one for about $20.00 more and had it installed elsewhere. I have had no problems with the new alternator for 20+ months now. The brake job went without incident and lasted as expected, about 3 years.

Peter B's had recently replaced the starter on my Lexus (a complex job that was done perfectly). Shortly after getting the car back, it began to smell like burning oil. Then it began to leak oil. I called, and Peter B's said to bring it in promptly. Shortly after I arrived, the mechanic who had replaced the starter checked out the car and determined that the leak was not due to the earlier service. He found a failing oil filter! They replaced the filter, changed the oil and cleaned off the bottom of the car.

I have used Peter B's since the early-mid 1980s. On many occasions they have told me I can wait to have a problem fixed, saving me a great deal of money. Once I drove a used car that I was thinking about buying up to the front of Peter's garage in order to ask for a used-car inspection; by the time I had gotten out of the car, Peter had walked out to me (it was warm, so the garage doors were open), and before I said anything to him, he said, "Take this car back. Don't buy it." Then he explained why. "Hear that subtle whine,?" he said. "On this car, that means. . ." And he explained that the car almost certainly had a problem (I've forgotten now what it was) that was potentially very costly. Of course, he charged me nothing for the "inspection." Once a used van we bought had a problem with an engine mount. Peter told us about it before we bought it, saying it was no problem at that time but that "down the line" we probably would have to address the defect, and it would cost hundreds of dollars. We had that van at Peter's many times over a several-year period. On each occasion, I asked him about the engine mount. And every time, he said that it still was still OK, but that we'd need to keep our eyes on it. We drove that car for years till it was totaled in an accident; but we never had to fix that engine mount. Peter always appears to seek the customer's best interests, not his own profits.
